Such an amazing, hidden gem in DC! The food was absolutely fantastic (try the chickpeas with beef) and the staff was so lovely. They are super accommodating with gluten free options and so friendly. Highly recommend with a small group

My favorite place in DC to eat and have a drink. Very tasty and not expensive Ethiopian food, good Ethiopian beer and friendly atmosphere. Always have to visit this place where in DC.

Aster ran the whole show! I didn't know anything about Ethiopian food, never had it before. She made suggestions and answered our questions. Food was fresh and tasty. Coffee was good, too.

Was in the area for a show and wondered to multiple food options. Ended up at Ghion and, WOW!!! What an incredible restaurant, the food was incredible, the service makes you feel like family. TEN OUT OF TEN RECOMMEND!

First time having Ethiopian food. We loved it. Went with friends and it was probably the best group eating experience I've had. Everything was good. They were easily able to accommodate my dairy allergy too. The wait staff left a bit to be desired though. They were super nice, but hard to find to order more drinks or food. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.

My kids and I were warmly greeted upon entering this quaint establishment. Our server recognized that it the first time for my kids and she patiently explained several of the items on the menu and showed them how to eat without utensils. There were large portion sizes (we brought home leftovers) and they even had 5 different kinds of Ethiopian beer. Pluusssss.....there's an active groupon right now :-)

My family and I had an absolutely amazing experience here. The food was incredible! The owners were incredibly helpful with the menu and so sweet, she even held my baby so I could eat (even though you only need your right hand for this fare!) We got the meat and vegetarian combo, and it was such a great sampling of most everything they offer. 100% will come here next time we are in town. Great food, great prices, and sweet, caring people.

Fantastic little hole-in-the- wall place with great food. My boyfriend and I went on a lunch date here, and had the entire place to ourselves. The waitress was friendly, and let us take our time looking at the menu, and after we finished eating. Our food came quickly, and was delicious. The portions were large, and the prices were relatively competitive for the D.C. area. It was the perfect place to satisfy my craving for good Ethiopian food!
