Gettin' Crabby at the Stern House

The platter for 2 is piled with fresh, meaty crab legs served hot with drawn butter; creamy crab bisque is well-seasoned and stocked with plenty of crab--add a dash of sherry from bottle on table. Service is adequate, the ambiance is no frills, and tables and booths are scarce. The bar and bar-style seating are more plentiful and quite popular with patrons who are regulars for drinks. Would gladly have given 5 stars, but the place needs a good scrubbing from ceiling to floor: debris in corners and under tables, dirty hand prints on walls and next to the door. Food this tasty deserves a cleaner setting with more seating.

This as probably in the top 2 meals that I have ever eaten. Don't go for the ambiance..it's not a fancy place..but the food is beyond phenomenal! The owner KNOWS steak and seafood. I world recommend this to the royal family of i could! Love love love this place!

Jenna at the bar was great! The Dungeness crab was awesome and the Grouper special was EXCEPTIONAL!

Excellent seafood, hole in the wall. Great service by Jeff and Mark. I had the triple tail "tasty fish" and my wife had the "crab cake" also very good. Great beer and wine selection highly recommend.

Decent place! The shrimp is good, the burgers are mediocre. I would definitely recommend this place!

Outstanding service, food and atmosphere

I had a special jumbo shrimp appetizer with their own special secret spices. Get a whole order of 6. I had to share mine. So we ordered a 2nd. Please get their crab soup. Fabulous and full of Maryland crab. I cant wait to go back. Nothing fancy but a great place.

Food was extremely good. We ordered for appetizers 2 crab bisque the royal shrimp and the blackened fish dip. For entree the captain platter and the crab platter for 2. Everything was delish... For desert we tried the key lime pie, was really really really good that we order one to go too.

Dive bar with terrific, fresh seafood. The softshell crabs were pretty good but the deep water, red shrimp were phenomenal. Beer and wine only.

Royal red shrimp are unbelievable and worth the money. Blue crabs were also outstanding. Service was great. We will be back .
