This coffee houses roasts their own beans. It is a great place to visit after being in the hectic market. The servers are knowledgeable about coffee too and very pleasant if you ask for recommendations. Pastries and cookies are available too. Lots of local food items like syrup and sauces. It really has a zen like quality

A good place to have a good cup of coffee and meet with friends or have a meeting in the middle of the week. It gets really crowded on the weekends though

*referring to the coffee shop not storeI don't drink coffee but I love their various drinks and often when I come in they have special beverages for a limited time that I just HAVE to try out. I have yet to be disappointed. Everything is so good and the staff is pretty laid back and willing to answer whatever questions you may have without making you feel like an idiot.The atmosphere is like any other coffee/tea place. Relaxed, a nice place to quickly meet up with friends/clients, and study/get work done. It is on the small side so not ideal for super large groups.I always recommend going if you're in the Eastern Market area. I do wish they stayed open a bit later though.

Best place to purchase fresh roasted coffee beans. Like roasted yesterday. An awesome place to sit and chat or just pop in to get what you need. Cool building, nice vibe. The tea (dry) selection will amaze.
