We are temporally closed for renovation and hope to be open soon. The Gem Creole Saloon is located in the same historic building that hosted the Gem Saloon in the 1800's- Featuring such New Orleans - inspired classics as fresh oysters, gumbo, crawfish etouffee, poor boy sandwiches, broasted chicken and hot buttermilk biscuits. The Gem is a laid-back place to gather and savor these popular southern dishes. With a full bar, the Gem's patrons can sip handmade southern cocktails, a huge selection of boubons, whiskey flights, craft beers and a large selection of regional wines. The sounds of blues, zydeco and New Orleans jazz and viewing Sporting Events are provided for guests to enjoy while visiting the Gem.

Honestly, just wasn't a whole lot of different flavors in the things that we tried. Ended up just eating a lemon to taste something different. It was decent, just not recommended.Edit: I must say, however, the staff was wonderful! They were really nice people and were tending to our table constantly. Very nice.

Delicious food! Great service! Love the decor too! We stumbled upon this great little "Gem" on 3rd street while traveling on business. We had a lovely delicious dinner, great service, and cool vibe in the restaurant!
