To be honest i was nervous when the new owner took over because i loved the old owner. I have to say as good as they were the new owners took it to a whole new level. Today i got the Italian special and special it was. I got mine the oil and mayo but not just mayo i got basil mayo!! This may just be the best sandwich i have ever eaten!!!

This place never disappoints! I’ve been ordering take out from here for a while....consistent every time! The Italian special and chicken florentine are our favorites! Highly recommended. Keep up the great work guys...thanks!

I just had the pleasure of meeting the NEW owner Eric and his associate, Arron. These guys have a true passion for good sandwiches. I had the Italian, it was the best I’ve had in Wilmington, hands down. Bread was perfect, not your standard Amorso roll. no casing on sliced meat and amazing Italian vinaigrette. Forget what you think about this place from the past. Same name Better Sandwiches. Thanks for the free bacon, it was amazing.

Local enough to have gotten legendary subs from Dicostanza's, I have enjoyed this spot across two owners. The husband and wife originators were top of the line old school. New owner/operator Eric Huntley has taken it to a new level. Google the menu. If you like sandwiches, you'll love Gaudiello's

The staff here is super friendly. They say hello to you when you walk in and they all wish you a "have a good r rest of your day" when you leave. The sandwiches were good. Everything is fresh and the food itself is delicious. It's a really good place to stop in and eat.

I got the cheesesteak. It is amazing what some people can do with bread, meat and cheese!! Get to Gaudiello's before Eric realizes how good his sandwiches are and raises the prices from the current $10. Next trip I am getting the Gouda cheese on my cheesesteak. How do you spell Gouda?
