Established in 2015. The speakeasy owes its name to the felonious private bankers-turned-criminal fugitives, Garfunkel & Tauster, who originally used the location as their corrupt bank firm in the 1920's. To remind guests of the building's exciting history, a functional bank vault door is used as the entrance into the wonderful Gatsby-esque speakeasy. Please enter through The Burgary into our hidden safe vault door. We are a quaint speakeasy in the heart of the Famous Lower East side of New York City. atmos was very nice. the live band was excellent! service was a little slow.

Nice little speakeasy that has a fantastic bar upstairs with 50's style decor. Private and intimate seating is perfect for a classy date or night out! My gf went out here and the drinks were lit! I am a huge bourbon guy so check out the midnight bourbon. They also have Tea tastings on Thurs-Sun which was pretty cool too!

Rude, smarmy waitstaff really holds this space back from being truly great. The space itself is fantastic, very romantic. However, the lead bartender should hold his tounge when his guests are within earshot of him, especially when making jokes at their expense. The drinks aren't even that good and don't justify the price. Save yourself the embarrassment and drink at one of the countless better cocktail bars in the city. Your wallet will thank you too.
