23/03/19Lets break it down , parking on a Saturday is tricky because of the market . Ok so rice with satay chicken was good , everything else was not . Paratha was them fake shop ones just reheated , noodles were bland . Regret going here and tbh i feel i wasted £31 . I should have gone to the food market right outside . I would not return again or recommend . Also i didn’t feel so well coming to the end of our meal and rushed outside and vomited. Not happy

Ordered on uber eats and had an absolute nightmare. I've ordered from here before a number of times and it has never let me down.My rice and chicken satay had some miserly portion of rice. The curry puff was split and drenched in oil inside and out. Someone put that together in the kitchen, and I know they wouldn't serve that to themselves. Now I'm sat here hungryThanks

Nice casual café/restaurant serving authentic tasty Malaysian home-style food with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options, in the heart of Portobello at very reasonable prices Staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient, managing to keep service up to scratch even when the place is packed during market times.

I had the sizzling vegetarian noodle dish with my cousin and it was worth the wait. It had a fresh home cooked taste and look. Yummy. Staff were friendly and professional. I would recommend and go again when I am next in the area. For dessert we had the banana and coconut cake. Loved it!

Eating in at Makan's is brilliant and the food is usually very tasty. However, I cannot recommend their catering service for parties- the food provided was incredibly bland and salty and I asked for a vegeterian option as most of my guests were veggies and there was only a large chicken curry with a salty side veg dish. The quality is usually really high eating in at Makan's so I was quite disappointed and sadly don't think I would ever go back to them for event catering.

My experience with Makan Café today was more than above from average. Rachid in particular helped with my Deliveroo order and kindly labelled all of the items for which I was ordering for over 15 people. He went above and beyond to help me. Thank you so much.

The all day halal full English breakfast is the best.

Strategic location and i can see a lot of customers inside which is a good sign. No nasi lemak was fine and the rendang too even though i think its too mild not as good as in Malaysia. Please keep up the good work.

Simple no fuss great tasting Malaysian food! Amazing value! Food arrived quick and was a very generous portion. Highly recommended for a quick no fuss, casual cafe style lunch.

Great taste almost like the original dishes served in Malaysia.Generous portion at reasonable prices. A not-to-be-missed restaurant for those craving for Malaysian foods whenever you are in London.
