It is a nice place but there are many spots empty which doesn't make a good impression for buyers it seems to be abandoned. Probably they could find something new and attractive for those places more when in the area there used to be a Sears store that recently closed and gives that lonely impression to that section of the city that used to be more glamorous.

Went to JCPenny's. Not happy.. Not many people to help you. Items are scarce. Some sales. They can order on line for you though.

Nothing left in that mall, current ownership made a lot of promises and kept none!!!

The mall appears to be shutting down. The place is old and most of the stores are overpriced. It's good if you are looking for a niche shopping spree.

This mall is barren and the security guard, need retraining 2.15.20. It’s almost like he’s bored and need to argue. Do not know how to defuse a situation. There is no need to go to this mall. It’s 4/5 barren.

Very cool wig store it has been here forever. Natural hair wigs, extensions and a ton of selections. One of the last stores besides Penny and some rip off jewelry kiosks and there predatory business practices. A cool vap shop and some great hot food at the Chinese place for cheap.

This place would be a better FLEA MARKET than a mall..I was there the day they open that Mall, and what a Fall from Grace, time has taken its toll on this place....I have no reason to even be in there for anything..

The place is slowly dying as it loses more and more stores. It’s sad that such a popular place is losing attraction and slowing falling to shambles. I don’t got often because there’s not much to see. Also, they’ve had a renovation sign on the theaters for a while now.

This place has potential, but someone needs to realize that potential. Bradenton is on the cusp of a revitalization, Sarasotas UTC area has seen a MASSIVE boom in recent years and Lakewood Ranch is brining in tons of people. This mall is due for a renovation, shops are closing, there’s maybe 2-4 big name stores left, everything else is really lackluster. The food court has 1 open vendor. One. Vendor. I remember about 10 years ago when this place was full of people, everyone wanted to hangout at the Desoto mall. Honestly, if a renovation here is done CORRECTLY, this could be the be spark that gets Bradenton back on its feet.

The stores that are there are great. But the mall is emptying out so not much there. I truly miss the original hustling, bustling holidays here.

I've lived in Bradenton all my life. As I look upon the empty parking lot and consider the silence, vacancy & uselessness of the inside of DeSoto Square Mall that sits deteriorating rather rapidly, now that it's not been maintained or filled with life for so many, many years, I have recently had a sad, but true thought pop into my mind. That mall was the central hot spot of a little town called Bradenton at one time. Now it's gone. But, so is that little town called Bradenton. What has replaced them both makes me want to cry. You can't understand me unless you've been here for at least 50 years. For the very few that have stayed, I know you can appreciate my perspective. 😞😢😔
