Fugazzis

Fugazzis Restaurant is a corner property on the main drag in Visalia. It is an upbeat, slightly upscale, establishment where Audrey and I chose to spend about 90 minutes to enjoy a nice, full meal. We split a Mediterranean salad, an encrusted salmon fillet and a side of coconut prawns. She finally settled upon a Ruffino Prosecco (fruit-forward sparkling white wine) while I enjoyed a Corona Extra (on tap) with lime. Two bread varieties were tabled at the outset with an oil, white balsamic and red pepper dipping sauce. The wait staff were relaxed, pleasant and professional. The table setting, location and style were well suited for a trendy, Italian bistro. The food was fresh, texture and temperature appropriate in every course. The presentation was above average, the flavors subtle, yet challenging. We paid $50.55 + our generous gratuity for a dining experience well done.

Sat at the bar. The bartender knew the person I was with. They exchanged greetings. I was never acknowledged...well he (without making eye contact) asked if I would be eating or just a drink. Had one drink and left. Hopefully next time I will be greeted. (So that means I will go back) I hear the food is excellent.

A nicer restaurant that you could get away with casual dress. Had a bottle of wine, salad and pasta, all were delicious, service was good. Relaxed atmosphere.

Was in Vasalia for business for 2 days, so I came here twice. First time with colleagues for dinner and 2nd time by myself for happy hour. Was very satisfied both times. The servers on both nights were very sweet. First night I had grilled fish tacos and a local beer. Tasty. I came on my own again and ordered beef satay in Jack Daniel Sauce. Oh my! Heavenly!! The beef was like butter. The sauce was amazing. They place some delicious bread slices on the table when you arrive with a kind of tasteless orange colored dipping sauce. No problem - save the great bread to dip in every last drop of the Jack Daniel sauce. I restrained myself from licking the little dish. Was still hungry and ordered half Apple Pecan salad which hit the spot. My happy hour drinks were lemon drop cocktails. Excellent. I left happy and satisfied.

Tried it for the first time tonight with my brother. Was busy and crowded, but service was still great and we got a table pretty fast. They were on it 100%!! 👍 Look forward to returning. 🤗🤗

The service was great. Food was AMAZING and the pizza was authentic.

Been to Fugazzis several times, The food is great but.. the service is ridiculously slow, we spent 2 hours waiting for our food this last time and close to that before, atleast its consistent!!!! Lol but that was the last time, I'd rather have went to Burger King

Ok service nothing special, philly cheese steak was good , but the side salad was of poor quality lettuce discolored, the cucumber was rotting ..

Excellent chef-worthy food. Downtown Visalia location can become too loud for conversation during rush times

Great service and waitress. However, how is it still acceptable to tell women to settle down in 2019?????? We were told by a male employee ( manager?) to settle down when inquiring as to why we didn’t have the correct amount of seats for a reservation we had made( weeks in advance). We were not raising our voices or yelling. We also agreed to sit at a separate table away from the rest of the party when the seating arrangement could not be made in a timely manner.Come on women deserve more respect than that. Don’t talk down to us. Do better fugazzi’s.

The food was delicious, restaurant was beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was nice. Great place to eat if you’re visiting Visalia.

Great food here, the calm chowder was definitely a little bit on the extremely salty side.(Almost like someone added triple the correct t amount) I would think that a higher end restaurant would have a cook who is taste testing and making sure his ingredients are on point. Which usually they are. Every thing else was good just watch the salt.

Great Wednesday "Prime Rib" , which was more like a great Ribeye steak
