Best deli I've found outside of Maryland. Great Philly although the best sandwich I've had there is the Reuben. Way to go guys and keep it up.

Nice little deli and bakery! Frussies offers vegetarian sandwiches as well as normal ones. The selection is modest but the bakery is my favorite part of the establishment asides from the friendly staff. Hard to see unless you are walking towards the square on Gay street. Tucked away on your right side. Although you can't miss the wonderful smells.!

Last weekend we tried Frussies for the first time. I ordered a Pastrami and swiss sandwich on Rye. I decided I would spend the $3.50 for extra meat. Didn't really think about what I was paying until I sat down to eat my sandwich and there was hardly any meat. I double checked the bill and sure enough the $3.50 charge was there. The bill read like this. Sandwich $9.95, up-charge for pastrami $1.00, up-charge for cheese $1.50, up-charge for extra meat $3.50 and chips (small bag of lays) $.50. For a grand total of $16.45 for a mediocre sandwich with hardly any meat. I had read other reviews saying it was a bit pricey but holy cow! The bread was good but certainly not worth the exorbitant price. Will not return.

I've been wanting to check this place out for awhile and I'm glad that I did. I created my own pastrami sandwich and it was excellent! All the ingredients are fresh and the customer service was superb!

My boyfriend had raved about this being his favourite sandwich shop when it was down in South Knoxville. Hadn't known they moved to Gay Street, so we had to check it out. The place is small, so I can imagine it gets crowded, but we managed to get a table for two on the Friday afternoon we went. This place is now my favourite sandwich shop as well! They make all their own bread, and it's amazing. I ordered the rueben (my go-to), and he ordered the hot Italian. Traded halves to get a variety of tastes in, and I don't know if I could pick the better sandwich between the two. The meats were piled high, and the cheeses were nicely melted! Can't wait to go back for Saturday brunch!

So much yes! The service here is friendly and quick! The decor is really neat and the space is clean. The food is unreal!! I got the Italian sub and it was perfect. You can tell the bread and ingredients are fresh and boy are they delicious. Definitely recommend going here, best sandwiches in Knoxville!

Decent sandwiches, but nothing to rave about. Seemed pricey, and took way way too long, while others were just standing around. Restauranta are a hospitality service industry. You can't stand around examining your navel, when there's a line of customers waiting absurdly long.

Fresh baked bread, the meats are amazing, and so many sandwich options. It's one of the best deli sandwiches in Knoxville.

I am honestly a little reluctant to post a public review of this place. It is perhaps Downtown Knoxville's best kept secret, and I feel guilty sharing it. But the truth is: Frussies makes the best sandwich in Knoxville, and perhaps the best Italian sub south of the Mason-Dixon. They bake their own bread, and it makes a world of difference. You can tell they really take pride in their product here, and I'm always eager to come back and try something new.
