Fruitive Ghent

I'm a meat lover who recently started doing Meatless Mondays to try and ease into a healthier lifestyle that is better for the climate. It's hard - I love meat. Thankfully, Fruitive is making my transition easier. Fruitive is where I go for breakfast EVERY Monday. The food is so flavorful and the portions are great! They also have nice juices in glass jars which they encourage you to return to then for reuse by a reward system. I've purchased glass straws there as well. They are definitely doing their part for the planet. The staff is also friendly. I've never had a bad experience here.

Decided to finally visit after being recommended Fruitive by a few friends. Upset I didn’t listen sooner, as the food and service was wonderful. A man in a baseball cap greeted me as soon as I walked in, and the woman taking my order was very pleasant. And the food was great! Definitely coming back again soon.

I was very impressed by my first visit to Fruitive. I was kindly greeted by the manager who gave me a briefing of the menu and explained how everything is plant based. I tried a smoothie bowl and the avocado toast which was amazing! The restaurant was very clean and all the employees were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure my experience was satisfactory. I will definitely be coming back here often!

Great service and a cool place to hangout. The food is definitely healthy but perhaps a little too healthy. This waffle had kale in it...a hippies dream perhaps but damn really inside a waffle? C'mon people. This was called a waffle sundae but no ice cream in this sucker. Read each menu item before you order is my advice

Great spot for some delicious plant-based fare! The food was absolutely delicious, and even my omnivorous fiance enjoyed the southwest quesadilla. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially for those with allergies. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

I really wish employees would wash their hands before putting on gloves for food handling. I’ve seen them cleaning, sweeping, handling money then grabbing gloves without washing their hands (touching the exterior surface) and then preparing RTE food. And they touch items WITH GLOVES ON such as notebooks, touch screen for POS, delivery boxes, and yesterday a CELL PHONE and they don’t change gloves. They go right back to touching food. I’ve spent 8 years in food service, I’m food safety manager certified and I’m a appalled.

Amazing food. Love the antioxidant bowl and avocado toast...my favorite!!! Super chill atmosphere! Reminds me of NY spots...

Great food options. Friendly staff. Quite atmosphere. They use actual utensils which lower the amount of plastic waste. I love it!

The environment was so inviting! As someone who is new to eating a plant based diet, they were very informative! Visually speaking the lighting was great, service was fast, and if I needed anything they were super quick to help me the best they could! Super Satisfied

This is a good place to find organic plant based food. The location is great when visiting the eclectic part of Norfolk VA. It is clean, friendly, and bright. Plus it is a step above most franchise restaurants. Unfortunately, the price one has to pay for this quality food may limit the number of visits. There is ample seating and books to read if one chooses to hangout for a bit. You may find alternative perspectives that expand your mind.

Outstanding food and great service!!! I loved all the food my family and I had. I would definitely come back and recommend to others. A bit pricey but totally worth it.

My household and I have recently switched to a vegan diet and we were worried about finding good vegan food when we travel. Well "Fruitive" was a pleasant breakfast experience! The menu is full, the food is fresh and tasty, but it is a little pricey, to be expected though. Eating healthy is not always cheap when eating out. The staff are helpful with making selections and the service is fast. I will be visiting again😁!!!
