Frosty Boy Grand Rapids

There are only two reasons I don't give this classic Ice cream stand 5 stars;1) lines are often long due to its popularity.2) The prices seem high to me, but to be fair that might judt be my age showing, I remember when a medium malt cost under $1 vs. The over $3 that Frosty Boy charges.

On the NE side your have two options for ice cream stands. Too Talls and Frosty Boy. Frosty Boy has a large selection (and usually line to match) of ice cream and frozen goodies. Their lactose free and vegan ice cream selection is large and many of the flurries and other frozen concoctions can be made to be sensitive to one's dietary restrictions.

This is a small family owned place that serves alot more than just ice cream. The food is good. The staff is friendly and they are not over priced. I love coming here.

Delightful food with great prices but the thing that impresses me the most are the individuals behind the counter. Continual lines out to the road and I always receive great service and exceptional product. Thank you for all your hard work employees of Frosty Boy!!!

A good line of people and cramped parking, but quick and efficient servers meant the wait wasn’t too long and there were dogs to fawn over and pet along the way. Loads of choices and blizzards and sundaes and hard and soft ice cream and lots of bananas and yumminess.

Nice little burger/Ice cream stand. Great place for families.

Good ice cream, lots of shake, cone, and sundae options. Even have flavored ice cream dips. Only down side is no low-fat yogurt options like some other similar stands.

Always a summer (spring and fall) ice cream shop to go to. A staple of wonderful memories as it's been around for as long as I can remember with the exception of a few years when other owners took control. None were able to keep it going except frosty boy. I'll always recommend it and continue to go each time I'm hungry for ice cream or one of their many menu items.

Frosty Boy had the best vegan ice cream! Way better than Dairy Queen. Highly suggest this place. Has both soft serve and hard serve. YUM.

VEGAN SOFT SERVE!! That's really all you need to know. They make flurries and other stuff with a delicious coconut-based vegan soft serve ice cream. Fast service and good prices, too!

Large menu selection with choices for everyone including your dog. They have food / snacks as well as a large selection of ice cream treats. I had a chunky monkey sundae with Michigan pot hole ice cream. It had a good amount of ice cream and toppings. A large made from hard serve ice cream for just under $6.

The desserts and food are fantastic with a large variety of vegan options in addition to normal dairy options. The customer service is usually awesome and they are always receptive to feedback and ways they can improve. A true Grand Rapids staple!
