Hi! If you are looking for a little history, you should visit our home store, Irondale Cafe, or the "original whistle stop" which was the inspiration for Fannie Flagg's book and movie Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. They have pictures of the original owner, Fannie Flagg's aunt Bess Fortenberry, and of the area back when the movie was based. Irondale Cafe is located in downtown historic Irondale 1906 1st Ave N. Irondale, 35210. Hope this helps!
No buffet. A wonderful meat and three with the areas' best carrot and raisin salad. The restaurant is an off shoot of Irondale's Whistle Stop Cafe.
