Excellent experience food wise, wine pairings personally didn’t work for me but I can see why others would like it; a bit too funky/reductive for me. Great service, shoutout to Carla and Bernardo. Great taste, portion size as expected for a tasting menu. Like most of the dishes (rare for me to like all) and also the desserts. Would come again.

I still cannot the experience at this restaurant in a bad way. I chose this restaurant as an anniversary dinner. Tastes were good, I left the restaurant after checking out. I clearly remember that I received the phone call from restaurant on the way to go back at Washington square and they asked me to come back without any reasons. I thought they were busy but we might forgot some personal items there. Guess what they said to us. They said the leather receipt holder was missed at our counter. They asked to check our bags and coats. They were clearly doubting ourselves as thieves. We of course didn’t stole anything at this restaurant and the restaurant stuff later found the leather stuff inside of restaurant. I cried a lot since I was doubted as a thief. The cofounder just said if you come here next time, we will have special things to you. (I guess it’s probably discount or one more dish or so) But the point is who wants to come next time if I was treated like a bagger. This was the worst restaurant experience ever. I cannot believe this restaurant attitude toward to the customers.

Frevo exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I went for dinner on Sat at 6pm - they have two nightly seatings (6pm, 9pm). The entrance to the restaurant has a wow factor, but that is only one of very many you'll experience. Service was incredible and the open kitchen format was fascinating to watch. Not only were the servers friendly, but the level of attentiveness was exactly what you would expect for high end dining. From refilling water, to explaining each dish - the dinner was excellently executed. The food is experimental, which can be a hit or miss for a lot of people, but Frevo does each dish exceptionally. The flavors are deep and intricate and the add-ons, usually not always worth it on a tasting menu, were all worth it at Frevo. The sommelier was incredibly helpful finding the right wines for us and answered any questions we had. This was a special meal, and with the quarterly rotating menu, we'll definitely be back.

The best experience and the most amazing time! The food was incredible! What a delicacy! The Zabuton Wagyu OMG to die for, tender, flavorful, a blast of flavors in your mouth! The Naan, the Amberjack, the white asparagus we got paired with caviar - holy cow just f*^%# DELICIOUS! It was a birthday dinner to me by my very good friend, and quiet an expensive dinner, but worth it! We’d do it again!!!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying our baby-moon dinner at Frevo. The seating around the kitchen created an inviting atmosphere where the chefs became performers. Each dish presented itself as a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with artistic flair. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste was exceptional. It was a culinary experience that left us in awe, the perfect blend of intimacy, artistry, and romance. I can't wait to return for another extraordinary evening.

One of the best culinary experiences we’ve ever had. The wine pairings were incredible and each course absolutely blew our minds. I teared up from pure joy at one point. This was an exceptional NYC experience.

One of the best dining experiences in New York City. Expected very little and was blown away. Inventive but delicious. Every course was outstanding. The staff was attentive without being fawning. A repeat. I strongly recommend but not inexpensive.

An exemplary dining experience. Up at the top end of Michelin 1-Star experiences. I'm no expert on how to get to two -- but this is on par with two star experiences we've had. Just a wonderful time and progression of courses. Highly recommended if you can get in. I was on the waitlist via tock and something eventually opened up so make this your first choice even if you have to waitlist.

This was one of the best fine-dining experiences I had in a very long time. Food was delicious from start to finish, each dish brought something special. Wines were very interesting, definitely got the chance to try wines from regions I haven’t tried before. Service was great, atmosphere was very nice too. This was one of those restaurants that I would visit again when I am in NYC again. Don’t think too much, just book it!

We visited Frevo for my partner’s birthday, loved the ambiance, and the speak-easy style entrance door in the beginning. Overall the food was great. The plating was very colorful and artistic. We typically like to eat different seafoods, and there were lots of courses that included seafoods during my visit. Plus, the somm went over different options and gave us a good recommendation. Loved the overall experience. One minus star- because we felt the pace was a bit inconsistent through out the course. We felt little rushed between the amuse bouche course, and a bit of pause before the main dish (duck course). Also, we wished there were at least one “lower” (~$100) priced range wine bottle on the drink menu. We’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants, but this place was one of the pricy side for the drinks menu.

This was our first time dining at Frevo and it did not disappoint. Both my husband and I have dined at most of the Michelin/truly special restaurants in NYC. Frevo is one of the top ones we've experience. The space is beautiful, intimate but comfortable. Entering via the art gallery is a really cool touch. The food was excellent and unique/thought provoking. The kitchen runs like a machine and it was great to watch as we dined. Service was impeccable. My husband got the wine parings and each glass was throughly explained. Highly recommend Frevo!

Our experience started as we entered an art gallery, and then entered the restaurant though one of the paintings (great painting!). And it only improved from there as their new renovation was perfect; warm, inviting and cozy, and the staff welcoming and charming. The food is some of the best I have had, in NYC and in Europe, and was greatly enhanced by the brilliant wine pairings. It's so hard to say what was my favorite dish as I loved every mouthful; but this morning I woke up remembering the Artichoke with Sea Urchin, Cuttlefish, Kampachi, Sea Bass with Caviar and the Chocolate dessert. Yum! Thank you Frevo for a perfect evening. Can't wait to return!

You come to FREVO not just for the food and drinks- which are an actual work of art. But you come also for that friendly interactivity with the entire team, the atmosphere, and to enjoy the company of whoever you’re with. It is truly an oasis hidden from the concrete jungle that is NYC. Behind what looks like an art gallery lies this contemporary restaurant. One of the artworks doubles as a door, which opens up to reveal the interior. It feels like you’re going on an adventure, not knowing what to expect behind it. Just expect to have any, and all, expectations to be surpassed. What an extraordinary evening and dining experience.

Intimate atmosphere, delicious dishes, welcoming staff. The tasting menu is perfectly balanced and doesn't leave you wanting more. From the owner, to the chef, and every waiter - everyone was extremely nice and welcoming.
