French Roast Cafe Uptown

I don't know if this is normal for this place, but it took 20 minutes before anyone even brought us water to the table. It took 40 minutes for anyone to take our order, and well over an hour for food to arrive. Despite the bad service, the food was really great. I got the duck confit hash and it was delicious.

This place sure knows how to serve their customers. Consistently with a friendly approach. The food is conveniently priced, regularly yummy and neat.

We met with friends at this place for lunch. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members were extremely nice and we felt fantastic. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Recommended.

Cozy and fun French bistro on the Upper West Side, serving well-portioned and tasty French and American food. For dinner tonight, I had the red snapper - nicely cooked, and the rice that accompanied it was cheesy and amazing. Someone had the lamb dish nearby and the portion was generous and it looked fantastic. Creme brûlée was out of this world. Service was impeccable and friendly. Highly recommend. Food for families and dates.

We came to this place for a meeting. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The meal was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. Warmly recommended.

Ordered the salmon bagel, and I wasn't expecting it to be served deconstructed! Not complaining though!Not everybody likes pickles, olives or capers... ;)The amount of salmon on the plate was more than generous, and the staff was great.We went for brunch after a run on Central Park and I couldn't have been happier!

Very informal in a kind of French way. It really does feel like a place you might find in Paris.Good stuff, and I like what I've eaten there.

A new fave in the neighborhood. I had the sea scallops and it was just perfect, accompanied by a glass of red. Glad I decided to stop in after passing by so many times.

While a bit pricey, this place was very good. Priceyness is to be expected for New York. The waitress was friendly and the food came out quickly. Neither of us ordered drinks, and the water is given in a big bottle thing so you can just refill your own which is nice.Waitress was very helpful answering questions. I had the Mexican omelette which was super tasty and the fruit was very fresh.
