Super cozy neighborhood bar and restaurant with really friendly servers. Their mac and cheese is the best in the world. Prices are high but worth it.

Amazing place, cozy setting. Very friendly staff and delicious food. A very pleasant dining experience. The place is lively and happy. Definitely worth a visit and then a few more.

Nice outside area. I had the avocado toast, which comes with tomatoes and black beans on sour dough toast. Together with 2 poached eggs, very nice. The service was very quick and nice. The restaurant is named after a seeing eye dog, so very dog friendly (at least outside, we didn't ask if it's ok to bring a dog inside)

I really enjoyed my experience here. I had an extremely juicy burger, the fries were great, and the service was excellent as well. I went here late in October and was told all the tables inside were reserved so I had to sit outside if I wanted a table. It was a fairly mild night so that was fine, but at peak dinner times, especially in winter, you may want to consider making a reservation as there isn't a ton of seating inside. I want to also note that my girlfriend ordered plain mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is front and center on their menu and featured highly. My girlfriend felt the mac and cheese was bland. Perhaps it would be better if she added stuff to it, but she does not recommend their plain mac and cheese which is unfortunate considering how front and center they make it on the menu. I plan to come back here.

Our Airbnb host recommended Fred’s and we couldn’t be happier. We were quite full still from a day out so we split a burger. The wait staff were very accommodating. The food was delicious and service polite and prompt. Overall we’d highly recommend!

Didn’t go inside but side-walk seating is lovely and the mozzarella cheese triangles were great! Expected them to just be deep fried from a box... but they actually seemed to be hand made.

Definitely a fun place to bring your dog. And the human trivia nights are great too

Pictures of dogs cover every inch of every wall at this pub. This could be a dog or a dog lovers paradise. However, I don’t think dogs are actually allowed inside. This seems a bit misleading. It would actually be cool if they actually do have something for dogs here. However It’s a cool spot. Nice vibe to it. Nothing to impressive about it. But they do have one of the biggest yummiest plate of nachos I’ve ever seen.

This place is sure to get your tail wagging!Brunch here was awesome. They have a great menu of dishes and you pair it with a drink for a good deal, of which I'm sure there are few and far between in UWS. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is friendly

Really really great. Came with four kids and they took great care of us. Buffalo chicken mac and cheese was amazing!

Absolutely brilliant. Food is fantastic, the restaurant itself is spacious and decorated with tons of dogs. The owner David is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet and we’ll certainly be back! Highly recommend to anyone!!

What an amazing hidden gem on the UWS! We went to Fred's on our last night in NYC and thoroughly enjoyed it, fabulous food, wine and lovely, helpful staff. You won't regret taking a trip to Fred's! Make sure you look at all the cute dog pictures that cover the walls. Will definitely be returning!

Omg I love this place. The food is amazing!!!. My sister in law who doesnt eat much finished her whole pasta. And the ambiance ???? Talk about a dog lover place.

We feel so lucky to have Fred’s in our neighbourhood! The people are genuinely friendly and laid back (it’s refreshing) and every time we walk in, I start thinking of the “Cheers” theme song. This is an especially great spot if you have kids - they will park your stroller for you and make your little ones feel equally welcome. On top of that, food and drink are great. We especially loved the Calamari and nachos. We’ll be spending a lot of time here :)

Fred’s is an incredible place to always feel like you’re coming home. I’ve been twice now and both times I had an incredible experience. The staff are warm, and silly and embrace their own brand of hospitality — and as a hospitality professional, I appreciate this so much. The food is incredible — Mac & Cheese is a MUST!!!
