Fred's Rivertown Alehouse

Fred's Rivertown Alehouse is exactly what you expect, a bar and grill. We have been here many times with friends and it is consistent and comfortable. This time four of us stopped for dinner. I started with a beer, an Overcast Espresso Stout from Nitro. It was a solid stout and I would have it again. One person had the Chicken BLT Salad with a side of cheese bread and was happy. Another had the Porter Ale Meatloaf and was mostly happy, though the baked potato was fairly small. Two of us went with burgers,. One had the Ale Housel Burger, which is a double burger with onion rings and BBQ sauce. I had the Hog Wild Burger, which added ghost chili BBQ pulled pork. The burgers were good, but next time I will go with the Mill Burger, the standard burger, since the pulled pork did not add $2 to the burger in my opinion. The service was solid as usual.

Very chill spot. Hopping at dinner time (after 5 pm, even on a Monday). Friendly, fast servers. Superb pub snacks. Crinkle fries! Great place to bring friends. Lobster bisque is the best. Go for Happy Hour, M-F 2-5 pm.

This place is amazing. The staff is always really friendly and sweet. The food is amazing and I absolutely love the selection of beer and other spirits available.

The lobster bisque is AMAZING! We went during happy hour & a bowl was only $5...score! They also have a great beer/cider selection. Easy to find, bar-like atmosphere, great staff!

I would have liked to give this place a higher rating but the kitchen just couldn't get the order right. The staff was friendly and they had some good beers on tap. They did comp my beer in addition to the burger they couldn't seem to produce. Probably will not return though, unless all we want is a beer.

This small town friendly pub/restaurant serves a varied menu of sandwiches and salads, combined with an extensive selection of local beers.

My wife sends me here frequently for take-out of the grilled chicken sandwich. The only reason for 4-stars out of five is that we have not tried the rest of the menu or sat down for dinner/drinks.

Ordered nachos "with steak" and what arrived was some thinly sliced, very dry something of about 3 teaspoons of a meat.At $15 for the nachos, too pricey for what you get, not worth it. Family next to us sent their potato skins and other items back also. I know Fred's can do better.

Go here for the fun loud atmosphere and beer. Cozy place for small groups. Food is just your typical bar fare. Food is good, just takes time to come out when it's busy so order when you sit.
