UPDATE: one of the most consistent restaurants in the city. Is my go-to Great ragu. But expensive. Tiramisu okay but absolutely NOT worth $10

Uneatable food... . I ordered a stracciatella and it came with balsamic vinegar ruining the stracciatella taste, probably needed to add that cause the stracciatella was, in fact, tasteless. My partner had the ragù, it came with meatballs - why? He sais that it tasted like can food. The meatball were cold frozen-like in the inside.

I don’t know if I caught the restaurant on an off evening, but the staff were extremely rude and unaccommodating. I called before my reservation to ask if there were heating lamps, they said yes, and then i was placed in a cold outer area with no heating lamps. The food is good though, the overall experience wasn’t because it was deceiving. Maybe management treats the employees poorly.

The service is very slow. The pasta has so much tomato sauce that makes the pasta sour, I try to eat pasta not tomato sauce , the chicken parm don’t taste fresh. I will not come back.

Very overpriced for the quality of the food. Huge quantities of pasta, you're bound to leave here with leftovers. Some items on the menu were very good, such as the chicken Parm. Everything else though I found lacking and I left feeling cheated by how expensive everything was.

This place got amazing food from the complimentary bread with olive oil to the dessert, we had the garlic bread slices, mozz di bufala, skirt steak with arugula salad, chicken parm, rosemary chicken, n spaghetti with meatballs, everything delicious the pasta is fresh, their Ragu and Vodka salad sauce are on point, they could do better on their cocktail department but u really go there for their wine, deff recommend to sit outside since its more spacious than inside. Would definitely come back again.

My boyfriend has been an avid follower of Frank’s social media since the pandemic started, and we were really looking forward to our first dinner at Frank. Unfortunately, we were extremely underwhelmed by the experience. For starters, the service was totally apathetic and our waiter expressed no interest in interacting other than the bare minimum of taking our order and dropping off the check. We were seated outside, and the ambiance left a lot to be desired. A far cry from “dinner at Nonna’s house” as it was advertised on the menu. It was more like eating dinner outside a stranger’s house. As far as the food goes, it was very mediocre. I did not experience the quality and freshness as Frank often raves about in his Instagram reviews of himself. Really wanted to love this place, but was left very disappointed.

I had a bad feeling immediately at check-in. I reserved a table for 5 for 11:45am. Zero customers at any other table. A party of 3 came right after us. They crammed our party of 5 into a square table for 4, insisting that their reservations are packed (absolutely not true, according to both Google Maps reservations and Resy). Anyway. We sit at the 4 person table, clearly not enough room, and even when I mentioned the fifth guest literally has no table surface over her knees to place her meal, they just walked away without acknowledging. Food was decent, not gonna lie about that. But it felt like the staff went out of their way to ignore us. I kid you not. Not only did the one table after us clear out, but there were no other guests other than us. They could have added an extra table to extend our seating. (Which they finally did because our 4person table wobbled badly - and to fix it they shifted the table against an adjacent planter, leaving EVEN LESS table space than before). And they should not have lied about being packed, when there was no other customers during our meal and after we left. Maybe it was too early in the day for the staff to be good to customers. But that experience definitely was a sour one. In hindsight, it’s very likely they are empty due to how they treat customers. All other restaurants in the area were pretty crowded.

Excellent food, I do not give 5 stars for the bad service, lack of empathy from the manager, he really is very pedantic. As always: the Latino treating the Latino badly. Another point against is that they do not accept payment with credit or debit cards

Best pasta in recent times! We ordered Tomato and Basil pasta with tagliatelle instead of the one with Penne on the menu, because we wanted to have to their fresh pasta. It was an absolute bliss! The pasta was so light and sauce was so fresh. We also had their zucchini hot soup, it was so earthy and heavenly as well. Will definitely go back.

I really wanted to love it here but I couldn't quite. The pasta (black squid with calamari, one of the specials) was initially very tasty but then quickly became too rich, too oily, too heavy, and too big a portion (which some people might love). Most of the staff were quite lovely but barman just came with loads of attitude. We would have stayed longer to enjoy some of their wine but the attitude was just off-putting. I should give it a second chance. Everything deserves a second chance.

10/10 would come back just for the olive oil 🔥🔥 Bruschetta was SO DELICIOUS and flavorful (see pic) not to mention a great price. Definitely returning for brunch sometime soon

Small and extremely loud restaurant. We went there for dinner, food is fresh and house made, is nothing to die for but hits the spot. Service was good, food came out fast. Prices are more that ok for the restaurant. I will say food is good for the price. Don't expect anything fancy, just a decent meal at a decent price with good service. Maybe sitting outside will help with the noise.

It's a classic East Village, neighborhood Italian place, with pictures of mama and grandma (one presumes) on the walls. The food is just great: terrific sauces, and everything--from the mussels, to the branzino, to the gnocchi, to the tiramisu--is prepared perfectly. Seating is a bit tight and noise levels too high, but the (reasonably priced) food more than makes up for that.
