Senor machetes is my favorite mexican restaurant downtown! The service is always great, the food is good and the prices are reasonable.

I ordered the Señor Machetes Fajitas and a Pepsi. My waitress was very nice and professional while waiting on me. The owner I believe it was, also stopped over to see if I needed anything extra with my meal. I can honestly say the food is comparable to sitting down to a plate at a restaurant in Mexico.

The food was certainly good, but not great. The service was quite slow and the waitress needed to ask twice what our drink order was. I will visit again sometime to give them another try since it wasn't a "bad" visit overall. Frankly, it seems there are better options for Mexican food in Madison.

We ordered off of EatStreet and they kept pushing the delivery time later and later. Called directly to cancel the order as it was running too long. The owner drove the order to our place after his shift to deliver, nicest guy ever. They have their own website coming up in a few weeks that orders can be placed through. Avoid delivery apps and go through the website/to the restaurant. Super good food!

Outstanding experience. The customer service is top notch especially Noel. One of my buddies had a small issue with his meal. They went above and beyond to fix the issue. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

The Machetes are amazing. I have had the ground beef and my husband has had the chorizo. The veggies are fresh and the flavor is amazing. We even took one to go and it held up perfectly the next day. We love this place. I hope they expand to the West Side as well. Can't get enough of this place.

Excellent food and service! First visit; we'll be back. Had to try a machete, their signature dish. Got a 22", choice of two meats, vegetables (including, sigh, lettuce) and various pickled condiments. Cut ours up and it was delicious. House salsa is picante and delicious. Staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful. Pitcher of margaritas is a deal, individual glasses are a bit expensive. Definitely a worthy addition to downtown Madison!

If you're around for lunch, get the soup. It is so flavorful! Their iced tea is also very tasty. Great prices at this place. I've been here a couple times and really enjoyed everything I've gotten. Great service, too!
