Food is spectacular and service was really good

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was spectacular. I definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion.

Absolutely stellar service, very attentive, very helpful, the waiter (Victor) even helped me order something off menu that he thought I would like (he got it spot on). If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Also the atmosphere is incredible. All around superb experience.

I went here for my department's holiday party. Parking in the area is rough so beware. The police were very active giving out tickets as my co-worker learned the hard way. The staff was very friendly. They kept our glasses filled and our stomachs full. We had this ravioli stuffed with cheese and spinach. I'm not sure if it was in a vodka sauce but it was really good. The chicken with capers and spinach was delicious. The bread was jot and fresh. They also has some good coffee. It has a fruity note to it. The tiramisu was out of this world. It wasn't too sweet or bitter. The cheesecake was nice. There was also a pastry stuffed with ice cream that my co-workers liked. I wish I could have seen the menu to see what else they had. I'm not really big on Italian food but I wouldn't mind coming back here.

We were there as a party of 20. They did a nice job. Dessert was great.

Wow- I have been to this comfortable neighborhood restaurant in Little Italy at least 10 times. I keep thinking I will eventually get a meal that I absolutely don’t love. No way. Our recent dinner on Sunday was perfect. I had the comforting cream of red pepper soup to begin with followed by the tube pasta with perfectly prepared short rib pasta sauce which was of course amazing. One of our diners had the special, which was gnocchi in basically a pizza crust bowl. What a great idea and as always very flavorful. They also have a decent beer selection for an Italian restaurant and a very solid selection of wines. Always my top Italian restaurant pick in Chicago, which has so many good restaurants to choose from!

Solid Italian food at a decent price. Of course we filled up on bread, some delicious ricotta toast with honey and cherry tomatoes, some slightly underripe melon wrapped in buttery meltingly delicious prosciutto as well as the carpaccio and it’s fresh and briny caper lemon herb accoutrement, all washed down with a bottle of Pinot noir that hit the spot. The deserts were as rich and indulgent as you can imagine, a mascarpone cheesecake with fresh berry sauce and some pistachio gelato sandwiched between little cream puffs. All in all worth the visit, and worth going back.

Food and service excellent

Great lunch while visiting a family member at UIC hospital. Just a short walk down Taylor St.

The food here is fantastic but the last time we were here, we had terrible service. After being seated for approximately 10 minutes, we waved down the waiter to place an order. “Oh, are you in a rush?”, he asked. Pause. “I’m in a rush too” he said. He stopped by 1 time during dinner to ask how the food was but never offered to fill our drinks. At the end of the night, we asked for two scoops of vanilla gelato (their gelato servings come with two scoops), but were brought out 4 scoops of gelato on two plates. After explaining that we only wanted two scoops, our waiter replied that he was convinced we ordered 2 orders of 2 scoops of gelato. He finally agreed to comp the second order. Very poor service. Very frustrating night. But good food.

Great service and good

Service was awful. We had a private room for a bridal shower. Bartender kept disappearing, wait staff was non- attentive. Restaurant was not busy. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
