The menu has a strange layout. The food was good, but not great. Definetly not a place for a few snacks, there arent any appetizers or small plates on the menu, its expencive for not being local. They advertise happy hour all day but its not the case. Ignore the $5-6 margaritas sign, they start at $13. Typos and missleading pricing all over the grease/ water stained menu.

My dish, Tamal De Costilla De Cerdo Con Mole Amarilito, the sauce/pork was a too salty. The sauce had a bit of bbq sauce taste.

We celebrated our youngest daughter's birthday at the new Flor de Maíz Restaurant on Santa Barbara’s waterfront. It is a nice high end modern Mexican Restaurant with a large well stocked bar and hip atmosphere. Considering how new the restaurant is the food was delicious. It has a large clean modern kitchen with large windows to watch the cooks prepare the food. I ordered the fish tacos (Tacos de Pescado)which came on a wooden serving board. The fish was Mahi-mahi and came with a delicious aioli-guacamole cilantro base with grilled pineapple. They were delicious. The other meals were the Camarones la Parrilla and Costilla de Res both were very good . Our group ordered several signature cocktails which were sophisticated and delicious. A nice addition to the Santa Barbara restaurant scene and a great place to have a Cocktail.

Fun service at the bar, Marco is knowledgeable and made good conversation. Food was interesting, homey, and flavorful. Looking forward to going back again! Love the decor.

DON’T PARK THERE. The food was interesting and our server was charming. Alone I would have given four stars. But on a quiet weekday afternoon their parking service, BlueStar Parking, LOST the keys to my brand new car. Then to make matters worse they were completely unprofessional in the way they handled it. Try the food, but Don’t Park your car there.

Delicious food and great service. Expensive, but worth it. Sit outside if the weather allows. Try the pulpo (octopus).

Delicious Oaxaqueno food in a beautiful setting. This is a superb addition to the dining scene in Santa Barbara. Completely different from other Mexican restaurants in town, with lots of seafood and interesting ingredients. You pay more, but it's worth it. This is a fine dining experience, moderately priced. Hector and the waiter were very friendly, but the hostess, I'm sorry to say, gives off very bad vibes. I will be recommending this restaurant to my friends and I hope it succeeds.

Had a fabulous evening with my sister at the bar. $5 Happy hour all day Sunday and Monday. Excellent tacos and margsIsaac at the bar is the best 💫☀️

Absolutely amazing food and service! Definitely get the mole sampler! Waiter even held a smile while listening to my mom rant for 15 minutes!

Was there for HH. Service at bar was a 3/10. Nice staff, but can’t seem to work in busy conditions. And I don’t exactly mean very busy conditions. Average wait time for a beverage ( at the bar) was about 20 minutes... food about 20 minutes as well, while the restaurant wasnt exactly that busy at all. They have a great location, fantastic view of the waterfront. Service, meh.. prolly won’t be back.

Food was excellent. Service was good, very noisy at prime times.

The food and the environment was really good, exceptional service considering it was raining outside that night. Good food, good drinks, what more can you want?
