It was a cozy autumn day that I came cross this lovely cafe shop. Location and view is amazing.

Fast, friendly service. Coffee full bodied but smooth. Easy to drink. Chocolate notes noted with a Suttle berry flavor.

Worst customer service I've had in Boston. We were the only ones to come in at the time. Barista at the register wouldn't even give us time to check the board. There were no customers behind us. She complained, hummed and tisked while we ordered, even threw her arms in the air to say "I don't know what's going on around here anymore" when I asked for a cafe au late, she huffed something to the wall which was apparently a question. Gave me attitude when I didn't understand what she was asking, she became even more belligerent at which point I cancelled our orders and left. All the while she scoffed at us as we left and seemed to be under the impression we were ridiculously leaving because we didn't know what a cafe au late was; apparently not because she was incredibly rude, dismissive and negative.

Flat black is a small specialty coffee shop that competes with Starbucks when it comes to the type of coffees they serve. I'm not sure if they're a chain but they have several locations around the downtown Boston area and each one is rather funky and unique. It doesn't change the fact that nearly all of my coworkers get their coffee from flat black. It's kind of a coffee Hidden Gem and for coffee connoisseurs it's certainly a place to visit.

One of my favorite coffee shops in boston! This place does not disappoint, they are consistent and their quality is top notch!

Great coffee house in Boston

The flat white was OK. Didn't meet my expectations brought about by the kangaroo on the store front.

After living in Australia for the last 8 years, I was very excited to find Flat Black in Boston. However it was sadly disappointed. I was expecting to get an Australian coffee, one made with care by a proper barista, but this was not the case. The coffee I received fell neatly into the America market: big and much too hot. It was't the worst coffee I've ever had but also not the best.

Coffee is good. Don’t come to work as their internet doesn’t work on any of my devices.

Good coffee, has hints of Aussie culture, but it doesn't feel like an Aussie cafe. More of a themed cafe.Would come back for the coffee, staff was nice.
