Fish in the Hood

The food was so fresh and prepared by the owner himself who was very personable. I had fried catfish and fried butterfly shrimp. Everything was seasoned so well no sauce was necessary and the portion size was more than enough! Superb!

Service good and fast. Food very good. Mac & cheese was a 5 star for us. Greens and cabbage good but needed to be cut down in smaller pieces for sure. Would recommend.

Always a hit every time I come for my seafood fix. The fried oysters is my go to meal, along with the mac and cheese and collard greens as side dishes. The crab cake sandwich is excellent. However be warned that it does not come with lettuce, tomato at all, strictly the crab cake patty, the sauce (on the side) and the bun. Everyone I've taken to this place loves it. It's nice to go to when it's warm out since they have an outdoor seating as well.

I had fried whiting , my bf had the chicken strips , we shared a portion of fried shrimp, mac ncheese and yams.everything was so fresh and GOOD! So good that we didn’t mind sitting outside to eat in the heat !! Much love from Jersey

Service was a little confused, my porgi was very poor, although the perch was really good. So I think I try this place out again I received my food and it was undercooked. So I returned it and upon returning the undercooked meal I was met with a very nasty attitude. Will not be returning to this establishment buy at your own risk.

The long waits will attest to the excellent quality of their fresh fried fish. Cooled them order. The place is always packed. A little bit pricey but worth penny. Do yourself a favor and call in your order in advance. Good luck finding parking.

Bad experience. Wasted my entire 35 min lunch break waiting for food I ordered 10 min prior to drive 10 min to get. Never got my food. Gotta do better Black Man. Don’t take 35 min to fry a few pieces of fish. And no it wasn’t busy. Someone ordered behind me and walked out before me. Black is excellence. You were horrible today.
