Terrible experience, wasted $14 on a meal that I couldn't enjoy.

Owner is a cheap person! Yes your famouse Critic is back again with another 1 star in a uptown neighborhood. How is the owner getting away with peddling this filth called a sandwich I have no idea. First of all the bread is not a firehouse certified bread! This is butter Potato bread that is thick and dry. Disgusting! I order the New York Steamer regularly on my travels from Florida all the way up to New York and they are all the same.... except for this Firehouse sub. This owners is cheap because the cheese is sliced so thin it melts like a piece of paper, wait thats not all. The owner water down the fountain drink machine! He manipulates the machine, the sandwiches, makes me wonder what else he does.... I do not trust this place and will not be returning. You have received the death X meaning forever and will never come off! You only get one chance to impress me and you failed in every basic sense.

This is what you can expect from Firehouse in Strawbridge of Virginia Beach. Absolutely, no excuse for this.

I love Firehouse Subs. Have been eating there for years. I usually order the Engineer Company even though it's no longer on the menu but every Firehouse still makes it. But what I had today was the worse sandwich I've ever had from them or any chain. There was barely any lettuce, barely any tomatoes, light on the meat (and I've never needed to order double meat) and entirely way to salty. It's like he (New guy) opened up the salt and pepper and let it flow like rain. I literally had to wipe my sandwich and them dump Firehouse sweet sauce on it to tolerate it. I would have gotten a new one but it was a to go and I wasn't going back out. Very, very disappointed. I did call and the manager offered to make a new one free of charge but I declined.If you read this post, I recommend scrolling down to see Jason's post with pictures. I didn't even know that so, now I'm done.
