Firehouse Subs

Its Firehouse people! This location has been great to us. Subs are quick, fast and beyond tastey. Kids always love their meals and no one ever leaves unhappy. And their cookies.. pure butter..

Every time I've come to this specific restaurant I've been disappointed. This time was no different. I ordered ahead with the app with a pickup time of 1249. It's going on 1320 now & my food still isn't ready. It's not like I used the app to order ahead because I have somewhere to be or anything. The one in Moore & the one on NW Expressway are on the ball. This one is never on it. In fact I think they don't even know where or what the ball is let alone how to be on it. This comes down to poor management. There's 6 other couples/families in here. 3 of which showed up after me. At this rate I might as well just make the drive to Moore instead of bothering to order here. I could have been there by now. There's no reason it should take over 40min (10min lead & 30 min wait) to make 2 sandwiches & a grilled cheese.

My sandwich had so much mayonnaise on it that the bread was soggy, hardly any meat on it all. It took forever to get my food. I will not be back. The employees were not friendly in the least bit.

Food is good. Service is slow.

New clean building, friendly staff. Particularly fond of the ‘New York Steamer’. Prices are probably a bit higher than average, but the food is of a higher quality as well. If you want a cheap sandwich you can go to Subway, if you want a good sandwich I’d recommend coming here. All in all glad to see it here on Douglas, this area really needed some new stores.

The small sandwich was a little small for me. I would recommend the medium or large.

First of all let me say that the actual subs are excellent. Firehouse ranks up there with the top places for sandwiches. With that being said this particular location on Douglas has left me with a somewhat bad impression in the 4 or 5 occasions I've gone there to eat since they opened. My main complaint would be the wait time. Even for one sub it can take 20-25 minutes. And that's without a lot of other customers in the store. Secondly I've encountered a few employees that appear to have a slightly negative vibe about them. I can't quite put my finger on it but when you enter the establishment you don't really feel welcome. Also one of the managers is pretty annoying and talks way too much when all you want to do is sit and eat your food. So overall while I absolutely love the subs I have an issue with the location and hopefully they improve in the near future or perhaps hire better employees who actually care about quality customer service and project a positive and friendly attitude.

Ordered online, and food was not ready at the time specified, and had to wait about ten minutes for it to be complete. The staff had no urgency about them, even when they had a long line of customers at lunch time. Lady making our sandwiches then asked if we were taking it to go or eating there, and then explained that some people order to go but then eat it there making the staff take longer to wrap it in paper when they could be going onto the next sandwich. Didn't really feel welcome into the store, and just had an overall super awkward feeling in the place. The sandwich seemed to be lacking meat or ingredients as both ends were an inch of bread. The place could also be set up differently, as its super difficult to walk through and get to the drinks, as you have to walk through tables and try not to hit anyone. Gave 3 stars because I really like their subs, but they need a few improvements.

Pricey. And took too long but food was good.
