Great food. Always attentive service. Consistently great food and very cool atmosphere. Been going there for over 20 years.

Filippi's is a red-sauce Italian place. If you grew up in a city like Chicago, Boston, or New York, you know what I'm talking about. You'll find all the standards here, done competently, in an atmosphere of red-checkered tablecloths and hanging wine bottles.The pizza is traditional, with a thick, crispy crust and a small dairy's-worth of good quality cheese. The toppings are fresh and tasty. You're not getting frozen diced peppers here.Pasta dishes are generous and what you'd expect. There are the usual meaty and vegetarian options. The antipasto salad will feed a small army, so it's perfect for noshing with friends and family when waiting on the main course.If you're looking for artisan dining with a delicate touch, this isn't your place. If you're in the mood for traditional Italian-American cooking, give it a try.

Best food, welcoming staff members, consistently great character. They charge reasonable rates and the food quality is very good. Keep up the good work.

Sadly to say the service was poor today, but the food was great. They need to work on their serving system.

I figured we’d try a new place so It was my first time here and I bought a pepperoni pizza and asked for extra cheese (what my family always orders at pizza places) along with another smaller pizza. I had no idea the crust would be so thick and that they must already put a decent amount of cheese. This was a cheese OVERLOAD! It was a disgusting amount of cheese which actually poured off the edge of the pizza while driving home. It proceeded to pour off the other slices once one slice was removed. There was about 3/4”-1” of cheese and it was so so so gross. My son wouldn’t touch it, and this is a two yr old who loves his pizza with cheese. Worst pizza I’ve ever had and my family was out $50 with pizza they wouldn’t eat. Will never go back. The only reason we tried it is because it was a Monday night and our favorite Coney Island pizza across the street was closed!!!

It was my husband's birthday and all he ever wants is pizza for dinner on his birthday. June 2, 2019. My daughter's food and my food came and we politely waited until his pizza came, or attempted to wait...we finally started picking at ours and allowed him to pick at ours, wondering what happened to the pizza. A full 18 minutes after we got our food the pizza showed up. We sent it back as the big night out birthday dinner had basically been ruined. We will never go back.

So sad to give one of our favorite Italian restaurants three stars. Let's start with the cons and I'll end with the pros about our recent dining visit. First off our favorite items is Chicken Alfredo. Four of us asked to order that but they said that they were all out. No problem we could live with that. We order a pizza and spaghetti dishes. Simple Right? Well unfortunately we found out after waiting about an hour and a half that they totally forgot about our order🙁 We had to ask and they said that the order slip somehow got lost in the shuffle. Our whole order was disregarded. They offered to not charge us for the pizza but we still paid $50.00 for the rest of the food. If I was the manager, I would of waved our whole bill. But oh Well! The pros are that later on that evening when they finally made our food, it was pretty good. Will we visit again? Most likely yes but we are sill kinda hurt.

Friendly service, great food, portions so big you have enough to take home with you for another meal. The lasagna and beef ravioli were delicious smothered in meat sauce, the pasta tasted fresh and had that semolina taste I love so much. My son is not a soup eater usually, but had the minestrone soup that came with his dinner and his eyes lit up at first taste, he loved it. The only slight downfall was the price of the sodas, at $3 for a glass with mostly ice in, I felt that was a little overpriced. Will be going again though, nice relaxed place to have dinner.

Good thick hearty pizza, very much deep dish with lots n lots of cheese. Not bad quality but its not your NY slice style. Pizza can be a bit overwhelming but the quality of ingredients are there.

The food is delicious and the portions are large. The manager Carrie is fantastic. Excellent service.

Filippis gives great generous portions and the toppings on the pizzas are overflowing. Definitely the place to go for dinner or that takeout for a relaxing Saturday night at home watching TV and having the best tasting pizza in North County!
