Gluten free - The first sushi restaurant in Ottawa that I've been to that has gluten free soy sauce and is prepared to answer your questions. I had an avocado role, shared an Ume plate, and had the grilled salmon. All were very good. The service was friendly but could have been a little quicker but overall I really enjoyed the experience.

This place deserves to be a lot more popular. The amount of care that goes into food preparation is out of this world. Go there and you will be well taken care of.When you order Una-Don there you get more barbecue eel than rice. When you order a simple philadelphia roll you get a roll in which 30% is salmon. They do not cut corners in food.Try their ramen too. It's really good.There's only one place that can compete with Festival Japan. This place is Yuzu No Hana (in Toronto and it is more expensive and more upscale). However, Festival Japan still follows the same path of food quality.

It's alright. We don't have many good Japanese food in Ottawa. This place is above average quality, but of course it came with a price, literally.

Great portion sizes, taste and atmosphere! Definitely recommend the soft-shell crab and Chicken Katsu!

Cute little place, made a reservation and didn't need to. They were very accommodating to my request to have many different small plates served all at once, and the food tasted very fresh. When I asked for extra ginger, they gave me tonnes! Lovely

Went for their lunch menu with friends, got the Vegetarian Lunch Bento box and a drink.Good experience overall, would recommend. Here are the pros and cons:-Food is good-Vegetarian/vegan options available-Nice decor, good ambiance-Service was quick and efficient but sparse, waiter didn't bother us but was also hard to get a hold of-They ran out of spring rolls, gave me extra tempura instead to compensate-Sushi rolls fell apart when picked up with chopsticks-Decent price, only cost me $26 after tip

Great sushi! Had a steak special which was delicious! Value was good on the steak special. Had some other side dishes as well, but they were very expensive for what we got. Overall, a good experience and I'll be back.
