The chicken and sausage gumbo, YUM! They also have a whole chicken and 3 side special for $16.+, comes with a few flour tortillas and tasty salsa. The chicken was broiled, which is a nice change from fried, just a bit dry though.

A great stop on the west side of the city hidden off the beaten path. The food is incredible. It gets busy at lunch so make sure to grab a seat early!

This place is unquestionably one of the best place in the neighborhood. Anytime I come there I am so happy. They hold their very high level service and the highest level of dishes they provide. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is no doubt one of the most pleasant restaurants in the region. Every time I come there I am awfully happy. They always keep their high standard service and the topmost level of meals they offer. You no doubt will love this place. Very recommended.

Comfy, slightly southern, very chicken intensive. Their collard greens are always on point. On weekdays they are counter-serve. Weekend brunch is also a thing with a different menu. In nice weather their patio is open in the back and they send servers around.

From a guy who grew up in Texas, this place was dead on. It's not fancy, but that's why I liked it. They had the classics like fried okra, mac 'n cheese, and corn pudding, which was good. But the real deal is the banana pudding. That stuff is impossible to find in Chicago made right.

Very good food for a very reasonable price. BTW, it's cash only. They do have an ATM. The chicken is nicely seasoned and juicy. The sides are all good, especially the greens and corn pudding. Mac is decent. Staff is very friendly.I'm not sure if it is just a coincidence or bad timing on my part but they are always out if dark meat when I go. Maybe call if that is what you are looking for.

Everything was perfect!!!! Lamb Chops, cooked to perfection, the candied bacon Omg so good!! The crab cakes, one of my favorite things were delicious!! Even the salad was amazing!! We also had thee best server, Nate!! I can't wait to get back there!!

This place was awesome! Great southern food at a great price. Fried catfish sandwich was very crispy and delicious. Pulled pork was juicy, and even the buns were noticeably good. Definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of joint. Everything on the menu looked and sounded so good. I will definitely be back!
