Fat Albert's Subs and Pizza

As I was passing by, saw this restaurant I went in. The place was good. Nice & quiet place. Ordered a pizza. The order came in too late. The staff was not that good. But the food was okay. But in case of service I wouldn't give them a star.

Visiting from out of town, thought this would be a cool sports bar to get a bite and have a beer. I ordered a Tuna Melt on brown bread, not a crazy request. The Tuna "Melt" came cold (the waitress said I ordered the cold version, I did not, and the bill attested to this) and it came on white bread. It had no sauce. It was dry flaked tuna on an tasteless white bun with old lettuce. The server was very unapologetic, pretty lame. To be honest, I was actually expecting to get sick from eating here. I don't usually write bad reviews unless I really, really, really had a bad experience.

Service was below average as my waitress starting chatting up the only person at the bar. There were 4 customers in the entire place and service was slow

First time at this place, but the pizza is great and it is pretty cozy.

Great personal pizza for $7. It was fresh and filling. On tap beer selection is limited but ok. Good location downtown.

I enjoyed the service honest and approachable. Chicken sub was good. My girlfriend had a smoke meat she liked. With that in play a side dish of fries. All in all its a nice place to eat and enjoy. We even had the chance to catch leafs vs buffalo game. Its not wheel chair friendly or stroller but it is what it is. Hey hey its Fat Albert's.

Place is going down hill...I love fat Albert's but more often than not the bread is not very fresh...and I mean barely eatable.

I have been eating at Fat Albert's for over 40 years and have never had a disappointing meal.....until today. Recently started a job downtown and I noticed that there was a Fat Albert's / Ralphs nearby. Today I decided to head down and pick up my favourite Steak Substantial. When I got back to the office, , it was disappointing from the first bite. The meat was dry and it was not enjoyable in the mouth. I did not get the same flavours of spices and oils except for two bites. The brown lettuce in the sandwich certainly did not help.Will I go back there? I am hoping that this was a one time thing and I will certainly go back at least once. If it is bad again, I will just stick to the ones on Russel Road and Canotek..

Steak and cheese subway is the best in town.

Steak sandwich was super tasty and filling.Had it ready to pickup, however ended up waiting as colleagues order wasn't ready.

It was okay, food is okay, not the best in anyway. Specials are a good price. Other than that is okay for a quick bit and or drink.
