Far Western Tavern

Great atmosphere and excellent food. Gets packed on the weekends for regular dinning. The bar areas are great and has comfortable seating. Either sit downstairs or upstairs with patio seating. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful venue, very good food....

First time I went a year ago, I wasn't too thrilled. This time food and service was much much better! The head chef introduced himself to us, waiter was on top of making sure our drinks didn't go empty. I had the chicken breast with green chili's and cheese. It was cooked to perfection, and I had them wrap it in lettuce instead of on bread and that worked out great! Wednesday nights they have half off bottles of wine, so I'll have to go back and get a bottle of wine and a French dip!

The steak sandwich is my favorite. I had it again along with fries, however the fries were so hard it was like a potato chip.

This visit to FW Tavern was very disappointing. The previous time we were there it was great so I was excited to go back. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the expectations this time. We ordered two rib eyes that came out dry and lacking flavor. We also ordered a dessert similar to a peach tart that came out with raw dough. When I am spending almost $300 for dinner for 5 I expect better. On a positive note the linguica and artichoke dip appetizers were very good.

Mu husband really liked his beef dip. As for myself, the Cobb salad was tasteless. The chicken was tough and dry. I had ranch dressing that I found tasteless as well. Services were good.

Well presented steak meals prepared in the classic Santa Maria style. Fringes of the meal, like the relish tray and salads are not made as well as they could be. Small Town excellence at it's best though.

Been going to this restaurant for a number of years .....steaks are fabulous, service is excellent, deserts are the best, everything is perfect. My favorite steakhouse!

This place was absolutely amazing! Great food, impacable service. Ribs were on point and they actually gave my a extra twice baked potato. Only reason not 5 stars is due to the high price. Either have the money or special occasion for this place. But worth the stop sometime.

THE FAR WESTERN TAVERN IS LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF ORCUTT CA WHICH IS A NICE LITTLE TOWN WITH AN OLD WESTERN DAYS FEEL TO IT. ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR YOU HAVE A BAR AND RESTAURANT, AND ON THE UPPER FLOOR YOU HAVE A LARGE BANQUET OR MEETING ROOM. THEY SERVE BARBECUE MEATS, FISH AND STEAKS AND A NUMBER OF HOT SANDWICHES AND VARIOUS LIQUOR DRINKS, IT IS A VERY NICE PLACE TO VISIT FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER OR DRINKS, WITH VERY FRIENDLY STAFF. I PLAN ON GOING BACK VERY SOON.

I visit this spot a lot since I work close by. I like how the customer service is always great and they keep the place neat consistently. Pricing is reasonable and they serve generous portions.

Have been patronizing the Far Western for 30 years! Very appealing building and cool atmosphere. Food and service was top notch! We had a large group and we were well cared for. Drinks were quickly refilled, etc. We will certainly be going back!

Went out for a lil father daughter date. We shared some delicious tiger prawns. Then I had the salmon and she had her first lobster, which she said had have berries, lol. We both really enjoyed the full experience, from the service to the food.

Great food. Nice atmosphere.
