Famous Uncle Al's Tap House

This was my very first visit. I must say that I've been missing out on the quality of the food and customer service. The food was excellent!!! I had the hot smoked sausage, cheeseburger and crinkle fries. Everything was perfect. The chili sauce was off the chain!!!!The service was fast and courteous. I left a decent tip for the Dani my waitress and some extra for the fellas behind the bar.I know the owners, Mark and Crystal from their Scotty Quixx Virginia Beach Boulevard location. Kudos to them for bringing a top-notch hot dog/burger restaurant to "The Hood" here in Shadowlawn.I highly recommend this place!!! I will be back!!!

Good hot dogs and beer! This would normally be a three or four star review, but the staff is just so friendly. I ordered a beer and the keg ran out, so they gave me the 3/4 full glass on the house and recommended a new beer. I also inquired as to whether the chili was thick or soupy (picky I know) and they offered me a sample to let me see first hand. It’s those little touches that will keep me coming back!

The food is usually prettyI have an issue with the service on the food side. When you come in to eat at the bar there I find that it's a little harder to get service because most of the time the waitresses are on the bar side entertaining and you just don't get the normal service if other uncle Als .
