Really small place with very tasty food. Service was nice and efficient. We shared our meals to get a taste of several things.Buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The Apple and Dutch cinnamon pancakes were really good too.Groups of more than 4 or 5 I would not recommend, but small groups I really recommend.

The Dutch pancakes were delicious. They're large and very filling. Since it's a small place, the hospitality is better than at a larger place. I will definitely be back.

It's cramped like everybody else has mentioned in previous reviews, but the freshly-made Dutch apple pancakes make it a worthy destination spot.....during the less hectic weekday. Although my selection was listed under the sweet section, the thinly sliced apples placed on top along with the whipped cream are NOT overly sweet, it's just right! Even their Dutch syrup is not too sweet, it's certainly not Aunt Jemima's. However, I can't imagine waiting outside for a table to open up in this teeny tiny restaurant of 6 (I think!) mini tables. Definitely not for families!

We've lived in the neighborhood for a year and have been jonesing for a visit to this place a long time. Finally, we have it a shot, and we were not dissapointed. It's clear why people wait out the door every weekend (it's a small space, but that's a minor factor in the weekend crowds). My wife and I both went for savory pancakes, while our son had the apple cinnamon. All of it was exceptional. We will absolutely be returning, and you should, too. I suggest a weekday if you don't want a wait. This place is popular for a reason.

Wow wow wow. An absolute must to go to! Very very very tiny inside, but what a fantastic experience and meal. Service was great, knowledgeable of the menu and will help you decide. I was delighted and will absolutely be returning to bring as many friends as possible. Reasonable price for the quantity and quality of food too.

Food is good. The place is very small but the service was excellent. Due to limited seating expect to wait for 30+ minutes.

The best breakfast in Lincoln Square hands down. Extremely cozy and adorable. Cash only! Only about 6 tables so there is definitely going to be some type of wait depending on when you get there. Don't hesitate to take a stroll around the neighborhood though, the owners will ring your cell phone once table is ready!

Have not found anything quite like the pancakes I got back in Amsterdam until now. While they serve delicious American pancakes, their specialty is undoubtedly the pannenkoeken. My wife and I split both a sweet and savory selection. It was everything we'd heard and more. The coffee was also quite delicious, which is always a plus. Note that it is cash only, which we weren't aware of but there are a couple of ATMs nearby so no big. The restaurant itself is quite small so anticipate a wait at any time on the weekend, probably better during the week. All in all, one of the best and most atmospheric breakfasts I've had in Chicago.

We love this unique restaurant with only about 20 seats. Their Dutch breakfast menu is full of extremely tasty dishes. My wife loves their banana-chocolate pancake, but I prefer their apple & orange marmalade one. The pancakes are thin like crepes and sweet and spill over the edges of the plates, while the toppings are excellent. The coffee is very good, and the service is wonderful.

Solid breakfast, but not worth traveling to. Very cramped inside, cash only. Food was good, but not incredible. Coffee was ok. Service was good.

They're open until 2pm

Here is the menu: http://www.pannenkoekencafe.com/menus3.html With "traditional" cooking, it doesn't look like it's Gluten-Free (new trend, plus Sweden is a wheat-based country).
