Their 'Everything' bagel is very distinctive in taste. It's not like the typical bagel you might have had in some other places. However, it might be questionable whether that one is really a true bagel or not. It's like a gourmet bread. I feel very sad because I can't find that kind of bagel at any other place. Cream cheeses are also excellent! Thumbs up!

Really great bagels! Ask for light cream cheese because they load the bagels up! Nova is fresh as well.

Great bagel shop, I'm always ordering from here. They could have a garlic bagel that has garlic on both sides though, I'd pay extra for that.

This was, legitimately, the best bagel I have had in my entire life. The outside was firm, the inside soft. This bagel, combined with the perfect ratio of smear, fish, and vegetables made this the best breakfast I had that day.

Best bagel I had while I was there, so much volume and quality was high. Service was quick and everyone was friendly, would confess again if in the area.

How can I not have been here before. I saw this in Netflix indirect watching chef's table. I had the signature sandwich and it was awesome... Combined with this super large coffee and carrot cake. Very authentic new York people serving you.

Looked for a "good" place for breakfast and this popped up. Gotta tell ya got a S.E.C on everything bagel and it's the worst thing I've eaten... idk how you make dry eggs but I was chewing on what felt like sandpaper. My wife got a bagel with C.C. and lox, only had 2 slices of lox on the bagel. Expensive for no reason!!

GREAT bagels and extremely friendly staff. I went here in my last morning in NYC to get bagels to bring back home and 6 bagels fell out of the bag on the floor. The owner was super generous and replaced them without me asking! Great selection of spreads and some of best bagels I’ve had in the city. Thanks!

I saw the good reviews so I went there right after I landed at the airport so it was okay but my jaw was hurting by just eating half of the sandwich.... personally I didn't like it

First time customer and WOW! I had planned on just getting one bagel for the east coast bagel experience as I am a west coast native. Had the "lox everything" (I think it was called that) on a sesame bagel... DELICIOUS! Thought I was going to escape with just that and then after they gave me a couple of samples of the different kinds of cream cheese I couldn't resist the thought of a cinnamon raisin bagel with apple cinnamon crean cheese. It was also equally incredible!

I love ess-a-bagel! Its my favorite bagel place in the city, but for the one uptown is better. Also this one gets really busy so ordering ahead is a good idea. The food was still really good and is worth getting if you don't want to go all the way uptown

Best bagels on this strip of 1st Ave (there are many to choose from). Do yourself a favor and order delivery on the weekend. It's faster than dealing with the lines in the store...even if there are only a few people in line.

The bagels here are good New York bagels, and the everything bagel is pretty darn good. They have some table seating inside, various toppings and spreads for the bagels, sandwich fixings, rugelach, bagel chips and coffee. There are two lines, one is strictly for plain bagels and prepackaged goods, the other is for everything else. Fast, friendly neighborhood bagel shop.

Questions & Answers

1st Ave across from 19th Street.

In the store they have a map of all the places they've shipped to so I'm going to say yes.
