En Japanese Tapas Restaurant

Came here on a Saturday night at 8 pm and the service is extraordinary beyond words! We were seated immediately and we were able to fit a group of 9 hungry college students. Food: I got a level 4 spicy Curry tofu soup and I realized quickly that the spice levels are definitely higher than expected. I don't quite like spicy food so the level 2 would have been a better choice but that's my fault. The side dishes were great, the glass noodles were my favorite! We also got a seafood pancake and they were good, though a bit too fried for my taste. Service: Absolutely stellar, the waiters came by often to check on us and refill water and side dishes, also the place was bout to close.Ambiance: A casual environment with a modern decoration, well lit.Would definitely come back, though with a definitely lower spice level!

Owner is very friendly and welcoming as everyone waited on a very busy Saturday evening. Tofu soup and galbi arrived sizzling hot and delicious! Good selection of banh chan dishes. Galbi was very tasty but a bit too fatty. Not much of a waiting area but the service from everyone was very friendly and all smiles! LPT: Don't leave any electronics (ie. laptops in your car/trunk) as there is a high risk of car break-ins) as warned by the owner.

They saved us on the Christmas Eve!That night, we got there 30 mins before it’s closed. By the time we arrived, the door was locked even though the light was still on.So we sit in the car and Googled nearby restaurants. The owner came out and knocked on the cars window. She asked a couple of questions and we didn’t expect that she will ask us to walk in and order food. Guess what! She did! And she was treating us very nicely.Both food and service were very great!

Seems like a popular restaurant as it is packed on a Friday night. Food is great and staff is very nice especially the owner. Though the food is pricey for a place with a rather plain interior and cramped with tables. It feels like a place you want to finish the meal quickly and get out. Oh those cheap bright fluorescent lights!

Very friendly staff and great sundubu. This is one of the only authentic sundubu places I’ve found in the Bay Area.

Tofu is one of my favorite. How spicy is choiced from ten level. I choice medium everytime. But how spicy isn't stable. Sometime extremely hot or not so hot on another day.

Short, no frills menu with many tofu and other meat-based dishes. Kind and quick waitstaff, we were in and out in 35 minutes during lunch. Lots of sides that come with most entrees, this is a great place for fun flavors. Pictured is the ramen tofu soup.
