What sets Emporium Brasil aside from others restaurants is definitely our food. This may seem obvious, but it is based on our customer feedback. On top of that, many people recognize how reasonable our prices are and we are sort of known for being a hidden gem in NYC. When a customer walks into our business they can expect a friendly atmosphere where you have a meal with family and friends. While outside everything and everyone is, busy and rushed, at Emporium Brasil you can have a meal while cocooned in a peaceful environment. The flavors are pungent and unusual in everything from hearty stews to rustic grills and delicate sautés. Emporium does have a way with beef, and a Latin flair for the dramatic-steaks arrive on sizzling platters, and all the food is rolled out on tablecloth-covered carts. There is also Samira, our executive chef, who provides an adventure filled culinary survey course in Brazilian cuisine, one of a sort not fount in most New York City Brazilian restaurants.

The place was very nice and the food was decent for the prices that they were offering. The portion for the steak was very big and came with rice and beans on the side for only $25. We walked in and were able fo get a seat unlike most restaurants in NYC which was nice.

good service, the plate I ordered came with beans but it was mostly soup, though the waiter helped me out and brought more beans - great empanada! my wife enjoyed her caphriinias. Beautiful tables.

Unfortunately I have realized that when restaurants change their look it seems to change the food as well which is sad because their appearance should have nothing to do with the food. I have said that to say, before they did over this place the food was always magnificent now its BLAND! My favorite dish is the chicken in cream sauce with hearts of palm; the hearts of palm and the sauce were excellent however the chicken was not fully cooked and no seasoning whatsoever and the rice was hard. WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? This was one of my favorite Brazilian restaurants but if this is the way they're going to continue I will have to take my business elsewhere.
