Empanadas Monumental

yes!! this place rocks!! love coming here they have every type of empanadas that you are looking for (chicken,veggies,pizza,chicken and corn,shrimp,etc) they also make fresh smoothies and they also have juices(tamarind,orange,papaya) and the best thing of all they have these dominican hot dogs (you just have to try them) its heaven in a bun,with lettuce,ground beef special sauce and corn on top holy smokes!! THE BEST!

Good food and quick

Friendly service and fantastic food. Brought a batch of assorted vegetarian empanadas from Monumental to a pot luck way out in Brooklyn. A long trip but very much worth it. Highly recommended.

Great quality.

They have a killing hotdog a la plancha. The kippes and empanadas are always fresh. I recommend it for quick snack.

You may think that scoring a good Empanada in Washington Heights/Inwood is easy but finding a great Empanada is no small task. One place that has mastered the art of flaky goodness on the outside and meaty, cheesy greatness on the inside is Empanadas Monumental! They are literally stuffed full of delicious ingredients and served piping hot! For the price you can't beat it!

Everything here is delicious; brings back so many memories from DR. The yaroas, quipes, CAPRICHOS, are a must!

These empanadas were very good. Too bad I’m not closer to the area, otherwise I would be visiting a lot more and trying out all the different flavors and meats they have to offer. They were reasonably priced so it won’t cost too much to try out a few of the flavors. They all look plain on the outside, but inside it’s filled with the meat of your choice and different sauces that can make your mouth water.

What can I say? Best yaroa in NYC, come an taste it😋😋

Great food, but a little pricey. $1.75 for an empanada. Yaroas are good too.
