El Tequila Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

Had an amazing all you could eat Sunday brunch with friends. Very atmospheric, with delicious authentic food! Very good value. Highly recommend!

Walking into this restaurant the interior tells you this is authentic Mexican place. And then there was a sign inside which read "We don't speak English but we promise not to laugh at your Spanish". This is a great place with good service. Amazing food. I'm coming back here.

Great service and super tasty food. Also the most authentic Mexican flavours in town! And today we were serenaded by a live mariachi band. Everyone had a superb time! 😊

Photos of the restaurant look a little run down but It's very cozy and authentic! I was surprised when I walked in. Food is fab and flavours taste fresh. Weird downside is that the menu is a little too overwhelming. Too much choice! But it's better than no choice at all. It's a place I'll like to visit again work a group! Highly recommend.

An interesting take on Mexican food. Make sure your in the mood for cheese before you go however, there is cheese in everything! Seems to pull in a trendy young crowd. the food tastes nice with some interesting options on the menu. Tip avoid the specialty beers, i couldn't believe how overpowering they are in terms of spice and acidity, difficult to drink! Nice place for a friendly catch up.

The food was good, but the service was slow, probably because they were busy. Recommend the Jalapeno Margaritas and the steak (if you like spice you will need to ask for extra hot sauce)

Being a Texpat, life can certainly be difficult. The extreme lack of Mexican food with any resembling factor of Mexican cuisine is terrible. I try Mexican restaurants with a hopeless attitude. I expect to walk away disappointed, so my attitude is already lost.Today, however, there was a ray of hope. It isn't like being back home 100%, but it is quite good and gives you a comforting feel to the food. Quite good and authentic.The ambiance of the restaurant is a bit upscale. This is in contrast to the typical Mexican Restaurant, but it was a detractor. The food had great flavors. The salsas were quite nice. And free chips (granted there were only like 10 of them) was a nice addition.The lunch prices were quite good. 5-7 pounds for a meal. I appreciated this. All-in-all this is a restaurant worth going a little out of your way for if it is of interest to you.

The place is wonderful and spacious, the menu was delightful and the prices were very affordable. fast, efficient service and very personal staff. Recommended.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Been at least half a dozen times. Never fails to impress. Staff are great, food is excellent. Drinks and especially the cocktails, if a little pricey are enough to get you singing along when it's someone's birthday in the restaurant!! Keep up the great work.Happy New Year!

Possible closest to the food in Mexico , taste proper Mexican and delicious. The environment is laid back and authentic

I love this spot! They serve fantastic dishes, their menu is varied, The chief cook in that restaurant is a real pro, I love very much trying all their food. The food is consistently of high class, the service towards the guests is nice. I often eat in this place and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend it to all.

Quality of food and drink were good. Friendly staff, but little unorganised. We had to ask for bill few time as they were forgetting. Once we got the bill, then we had to wait ages for someone to bring payment machine. It was Valentine’s Day and maybe they were so busy.
