El Taco Veloz

We were very pleased with our first visit! We had the chicken burrito and three tacos (carnitas, al pastor, and chorizo) with a side of rice and beans. They have a nice selection of hot sauces on each table and provide complimentary chips and salsa (ask for the hot salsa). It is nice to have a new and very good Mexican option in the neighborhood.

Very very amazing margaritas. One of the best places I've had margaritas at. Queso was ok, salsa was pretty good for chips.

Fantastic, authentic, fresh Mexican food at a great price. Tacos are wonderful - get the al pastor, tongue, or steak; all great!! Flan is delicious. Service is fast and great, too.

Visiting the Cincinnati Zoo. This restaurant is absolutely fabulous!

5 stars for an authentic Mexican restaurant in Cincinnati! When you arrive, make sure you park in the section closest to the restaurant. Otherwise, you're in the hotel's parking. If it's a busy night, don't worry: you can get a free hour of parking at the hotel lot. We have sat both inside and outside. Our server, Ryan, was super attentive and accommodating. The margaritas are SO good - $8.75 for a (very) large size, in either frozen or on-the-rocks. They are so tasty AND so strong! They also have agua horchata and agua jamaica (traditional Mexican drinks and they're delicious), jarritos (bottled Mexican soda), beer, and soft drinks. Every part of the experience here is great... but the highlight is really the food. I have tried many, many things on the menu: - Tacos ($2.99) - in a variety of meats. Chicken, carnitas, and carne asada are my favorite. Served with handmade tortillas, cilantro and onion. This is the authentic and proper way to serve your tacos, with lime & radish on the side. Get the tacos, they're the best thing on the menu. - Vegetable quesadilla - Again, a handmade, thicker tortilla and the freshest grilled vegetables. So indulgent and vegetarian-friendly. - Camarones jalisco - Bacon wrapped shrimp, served with lettuce, refried beans and rice. Very good. - El salmon veloz - High quality salmon prepared in a very flavorful way. - Chipotle chicken - grilled chicken served with shrimp and a delicious sauce on top, with all the normal accompaniments. - Corn - served hot with mayo, chile seasoning, cotija cheese and lime. So good! Every meal comes with chips & salsa for the table as well. They do carryout orders, doordash, ubereats and grubhub - there are many ways you can get your El Taco Veloz fix ;)

Today was our first visit to El Taco Veloz and it is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant to date! Freshly made dishes with lots of fresh veggies like sliced radish, cucumber and avocado. Not the usual beans and/ or rice. Tried the roasted corn on the cob with parmesan, chili lime sauce, sour cream and lime Slice. One bite and I was hooked! So rich and tasty! Main course for me was Torta Al Pastor. Absolutely gorgeous presentation and more food than I could eat at one sitting. Delicious! Plus our server, Ryan, went SO out of his way to make all his guests have the best experience. This place was unlike any other Mexican restaurant we've ever been to.

Not that good. It's almost as if its an overhyped "Mexican" restaurant that college kids like 🤣. You won't catch me here again. The customer service was wonderful and friendly. Beer was good and cold. Place was very clean.

Cut and dry menu, great food and filling. Although it'll be nice to have a real knife, so a person wouldn't be working so hard to cut a burrito.

This is my favorite restaurant on campus. Food is always great, and staff is always friendly.

Worst taco ever,missing ingredients and bad taste....

Great food. Good prices. Friendly fast service. Only downfall is pay for parking. It's only $2 an hour though. Used to be hour for free but owner of lot stopped doing that this year. - Revision- owners worked it out and now 1 hour free parking again. Get ticket from parking machine first. Make sure choose right option.

The food was authentic and delicious. Great portions for a great price. Employees were very friendly and welcoming. Explained any questions. Very nice atmosphere. The booths are a little tight but not complaining. Nice sunset dinner with drinks. Highly recommend. Restuarant offers free parking for dine in and carry out parking.
