El Ranchito Restaurante Mexicano

Great lunch for two today. Wide choice of menu items and quick service. They made a mistake on my order, but corrected it very quickly. Great nachos and the standard salsa is very mild. Great for singles or large groups also. I reccomend this as one of the top Mexican restaurants in the area.

Very friendly staff and learn your preferences quickly if you visit a few times. Tried several things: chicken taco salad, (chicken) supreme burrito, their a la planca, and a few other things. All were very good and they are usually pretty quick. Affordable prices and big portions, usually have leftovers for later.

this is clearly just a margarita mix place. the food was an incredibly poor attempt at Mexican food. If you like real Mexican food find another place.......the batter was not only wrong but not cooked and doughy(it supposed to be whipped egg) and whatever they used for cheese had no business in a poblano.....it hails more of taco bell nacho cheesish substance. I get it, some people are into cheap drinks and bad food.....this place is perfect for that.

Bad service. It took a very long time for us to get our food (about a 40 minute wait). We had to ask why was taking so long, they said a party with more people than our party had arrive and they were taking care of them. My husband ordered "caldo de mariscos" which was supposed to have shrimp, clams, fish, octopus and crab according to the waitress ( we asked her) but when it came it was a big disappointment, it was basically 8 boiled shrimps in tomato flavored broth (tasteless). My order was "camarones al albañil" a got a lot of shrimp but it was overcooked so it had a rubbery texture. My sons orders were not good either. The server did not check on us. It is too expensive for what we got.

Our birthday party of 15 was turned away from another restaurant because they wouldn't take a reservation and we arrived too late, which meant that we called El Ranchito 15 minutes before we actually arrived on a Saturday night, and they had our table waiting for us. They were so accommodating, sang Happy Birthday and gave my daughter a huge bowl of fried ice cream to share with her friends, and even stored my cake and cake pops in the fridge until we needed them. The food was hot and delicious, and the service very good. This isn't the first time we've eaten there, but it's the first time they had to help us out in a pinch, and we are extremely grateful. The place is always clean, and we love the spicy salsa they bring out upon request!

Bad experience today with my family I'm not use to this so I'll be very specific. We were seated before two other families and were waiting for a server. A young lady approached and asked if had been served and I said no. She took our drinks and came back with them then took our order and said "you guys are easy". Time went by 15 to 20 minutes. It wasn't until my daughter asked me should we leave? I looked up and noticed the two other families had their meals. I had to flag another server to get our orginal server and I waited additionall 5 minutes before telling my kids let's go..I went back in the restaurant and asked for the manager to let him know how disappointing that was and his response was the ticket wasn't up and that things happen. WRONG RESPONSE.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and El Ran is the best place by far to eat and drink in Albemarle. Very friendly staff and are always so welcoming. Dos XX and Pollo a La Plancha babyyyyyyyyyy.

As you walk in you're greeted with friendly staff. They all work to make sure you always have what you need. I always have sangria and do recommend it. Tonight I had tacos. I love they have the hard corn tacos. I can't get them at the restaurant we frequent by us. My husband had the poncho villa and said he would recommend it. We've been here quite a few times and have never had a bad experience.

I had dinner one night here while visiting Albemarle. Service was pretty quick and the food was good. I had fajitas and they didn't disappoint. Chips and salsa were pretty good and they had Dos Equis on special. Overall, a pretty good dinner.

Slow service tonight, but the beer was ice cold. Food was OK, nothing to brag about, with little flavor. Wednesday night special was numerous beers for $2.50 American. ACP was totally different than any other ACP in two states. I would not recommend ordering it from El Ranchito. Chorizo Cheese dip was very good. Service was slow, but the wait staff were friendly. Enjoy!

The food was excellent. The owner was our server and was very attentive. They encouraged us to have a good time.
