I've been going to El Palmar for a while and it's still my favorite place to go to for Puerto Rican food in the area. This is a small family owned place on the super popular Elizabeth Avenue. Parking can be difficult to obtain - so be prepared to search. The owner, Eddie, is very nice and always greets his customers if he happens to be in the dining area

No stars for this . Can even name this place. I highly recommend that you stay away from this place. The food was terrible and the service even worst. They claim to be a Puerto Rican restaurant. Not even close...

I came here over a year ago it was suggested. No thank you, when I go out I don't like paying for slow service and untasteful food. Took over 25 minutes to get even one plate or appetizer. This steak dish in picture was not seasoned and very dry and cheap tasting. Another pet peeve of mine is when I'm in a group and we all get served separately. I support local businesses but please get new staff, faster service, and new cooks. Decor is nice seating is comfy.

Fare prices $, food home make. Good service but I was disappointed when I ask if I can use the coupon from they delivery player (delivery menu) they told me no, because is only when you order from home + free delivery on orders over $20 dollars or more.

Slow service. We ordered an alcapurria an alcapurria and a bacalao as appetizers and after a long time and me having to get up the table and ask for them, they brought them and 5 seconds later they brought the main course. The food looked right but had absolutely NO flavor, and I know how it should taste since I was born and raised in the Island. Big disappointment.

Had a great experience in here with my son. The food came quick and the service is just awesome. Prices are fair.

Recently went here for lunch with a large party and the service was excellent. Food was delicious and the portions were more than enough. It is a simple, clean restaurant with a down home feel. Our server was great and food was definitely made to order. The appetizers were fabulous, we had Pastels, Alcapurrias,Bacaliato frito, Sorullos de maiz y Empanadas. As a large party we ordered a variety of main dishes but the Mofongo with carnitas de cerdo was the overall favorite. I had the liver with onions & peppers and it was simply made, but delicious. We went on a Saturday afternoon at about noon and by the time we left around 2pm they were very busy with take out orders. So give yourself time but it is well worth it.

I've been to many Spanish restaurants but this one by far in my personal opinion has been the best. Best food and great service.if you're looking for real authentic Puerto Rican food or Spanish food this is the place to go I guarantee you will love it no need to go anywhere else.

I meet with friends this place often! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I go there at least once a month. The cooking is very good, the staff members are friendly and the prices are fair. I like going in this restaurant over a decent supper.

I fiend for authentic Puerto Rican food. My mother and I are always on the hunt since there aren’t many authentic Boricua restaurants left anywhere. Everything was perfect from the service (heartwarming friendly and attentive staff) to the amazing food. I felt like I was eating something out of my Tia’s kitchen. You won’t be disappointed 🇵🇷🇵🇷â¤ï¸
