Food was great....but the staff wasnt friendly like they use to be

We ordered 3 entrees to go and they gave us one tiny salsa. I asked if we could get more salsa. I was told it’s customary to get only one salsa with to go orders, even if it’s a large order. No I don’t want to pay more money for an additional salsa . Mi Ranchito gives us lots of salsa, free espinaca and a drink when we order pick up.

One of favorite Mexican spots in the Northland! Great cheese dip! My favorite is the Burrito Toriado! It’s a 12” tortilla stuffed with beef, grilled chicken, shrimp, bacon and rice then topped with white cheese sauce. The salsa is tasty! Fajitas are average. My wife loves the fajita taco salad!

Fajitas used to be the best in town. Now they have been flavorless/lacking spices the last 4 times we have went. Super sad about it. New chef?

Good and friendly service. Flavor is good. They will accomodate any of your requests. I went in there late 2pm and I requested breakfast "Chilaquiles" and a fried egg :) it tasted great!!.Bathrooms are very clean. Great place.

The most friendliest staff in the Northland! Great place to relax and have a conversation with family or friends! I highly recommend El Maguey!

Coming from the west where there is an abundance of good Mexican food has been hard. There is not a great Mexican food scene in Kansas City. Teocali is always good but... the options are limited. Add El Maguey to your good options reckoning. Really delicious food. We left very happy. And this now my go to Mexican food place in the northland. Eat here. It is good.

Hands down our favorite Mexican restaurant in the northland. The wait staff are amazing. You can go at lunch, eat, and be out in 30m most days. Food is great.

The family and I love to come here on #TacoTuesday. Dollar tacos, with purchase of a drink, and free chips and salsa. The tacos are filled. Definitely a cheap, but good, dinner for you and the kids.I have had a few of their drinks from the bar and they haven't disappointed me. (Margaritas are strong and tasty.)

Very slow service, but yummy food. The fajita burrito was fabulous. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos. They even had pineapple on them. The restroom wasn't completely clean, but otherwise a nice, quiet dinner after church on a Sunday night.

Fantastic service. Atmosphere is ideal. Great food and I cannot say enough about the margaritas. Very nice place. We will be back!!!!!

This place has mixed reviews, but we had a good lunch experience here. The food and the service were just as good as any other local Mexican restaurant (and there are a lot on North Oak!). We ordered the Enchiladas Verdes (chicken) and they were tasty. We will definitely be back when we need a quick lunch.

Food was delicious. Staff was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was relaxing. I will go back again for sure.
