El Hogar Mexican Restaurant

The food is really good but the prices are a bit high. It's still my go to Mexican place right now. Mostly because I can walk there from my house. But they make some killer chicken tacos...yes...chicken. It's seasoned well and pulled...not chopped. Definitely better than Los but you'll see it in their prices.

Good fresh Mexican food and nice staff

Food is really fresh and really good. The negatives are the size of the burritos were on the smaller size. Cost was a little high for the quantity. Maybe if they gave chips and salsa with the order I would come more often. Horchata (spelling is almost certainly wrong) is the best i have ever had I would drive here just for that. All in all a good restaurant.

Excellent late night food place. Very good clean place with good lights and warm feeling dining room. Many a nights they run out of Hot sauce on the hot sauce station they set outside in the dining room area and they never re fill it once it has run out. For a place that stays open late this is a huge Negative after all who eats tacos and Mexican food without various souce? This happened tonight also at 130am when they are still open till 4am.

Just went here for the first time and we enjoyed it! The burrito Al pastor was tasty without being over spiced. The steak tacos were good as well. Can't wait to go back and try more. The drive thru was pretty quick! Thank you for a tasty lunch 😊

One best tasting burritos I ever had

It's a late night taco/burrito joint. It's amazing when you're trudging home with your head and ears pounding and the world just slightly off kilter. The tacos are good. Quality varies - I have been multiple times and once the al pastor (pork) tacos were the best. Another time they were dry but the beef was amazing. On this past Saturday night, I gables and did a seafood quesadilla and it was excellent, and 2 pork tacos which were just ok. My partner had a beef quesadilla (also excellent) and beef tacos which were good. It's not spotless but clean enough. The horchata is very good. Tldr: great late night grub but pretty plain elsewise.

When I moved to Naperville El Hogar was the first place for Mexican cuisine. They have huge portions and great pricing.
