El Gran Taco

Best authentic carne asada tacos in town! No wine but the steak makes up for that.

It was better other times before

I stopped here while traveling on Interstate 64. I've never been to Mexico, but from what I understand about Mexican cuisine El Gran Tako is an authentic taco and torta restaurant rather than a Tex-Mex style place. I had tacos de lengua (beef tongue tacos) and a torta with chile relleno. The tacos had a double corn tortilla and were filled with cilantro and onions and served with lime wedges. There is a salsa bar where you can pick your style of salsa to add. The torta had lettuce, mayo, and avocado. Both were delicious. Tortilla chips and salsa were served for free as an appetizer and they offered to fill them up as soon as they were empty. I highly recommend this spot!
