Caught them fairly early on Good Friday morning, yet still staff was slow in the draw. But the food definitely made up for service and once the gentleman who waited my table was on board, he was tentative enough. That aside the food was hot and tasty. The buttermilk pancakes were huge and flavorful and the banana, blueberry, strawberry compote was delish so much so there wasn't a need for syrup. The turkey bacon crispy and eggs just the right amount if soft like I like them.

The place is expensive for what you get. Service is good. Food is big. Pancakes are good. Coffee is burnt. You can find better places near.

It's so nice to still be able to go to a diner in NYC. This place is great - they seat you fast and bring your food pretty quickly. The waitress was efficient but also patient- we placed one order but couldn't decide on the second order and she was kind enough to just come back 5 minutes later. The lemonade was delicious! The Greek salad was very good and filling and the lox omelette was good too. The drawback was the price - but that's UES for you I guess.
