What a wonderful facility. My wife and I visited last week and certainly enjoyed our time there. Staff is impeccably trained and friendly. Exhibits were thought-provoking and impressive. Displays were separated by type of art (play space for paintings, a space for baskets, Etc.) I personally found this to be well done. If you enjoy the culture of Native Americans or Western Art, it is not to be missed. Plan on spending two to three hours. Do not pass by the gift shop thinking it is probably full of standard gift shop trinkets. The content is impressive. We loved our visit, and have been talking about it with one another off and on since being there. Truth be told, it wasn't just a visit. It was an experience.

The train display around Christmas was fantastic! I also enjoyed the art. There are some interactive elements for children to enjoy too.

The jingle rails exhibit was top notch. I would recommend it to anybody who loves trains, nature and fun. We had been to so many of the places that the scenery showed.

By far the best museum in Indianapolis. Every visit is different and I have never been disappointed. It also has one of the best gift shops I've ever been in.

The western art display was so interesting! The trains were mesmerizing. The kids had fun finding the check points from the cards they gave out. I thought maybe they might get bored, but they had enough stuff to occupy the kids too.

We attended the 2019 Native American Festival and Market. It was an amazing visit. The staff did a great job bringing in a wide variety of artists from around the country. We enjoyed meeting them, taking in the art and buying some gifts to take back home. After seeing the artists we enjoyed the museum itself and had a really nice experience. Being from Oklahoma, we were excited to see our home state so well represented in several of the galleries. Eiteljorg is gem in the city and a great way to see something and learn something in an afternoon.

I was pleasantly surprised at their American West art collection. They have a wide variety of artist and art works and a lot of Remington's. We spend about an hour here browsing and enjoying the exhibits.

We enjoyed this museum. Very much worth a visit. Lots of great art on display and plenty of information to explain the background of the artists. Western themes on the 1st level and Native themes on the 2nd level. We bumped into one of the new artists on display and had a nice time chatting.

Great place to learn about the Native Americans and their culture and artistry. Also, art depicting the "Old West" in sculpture and paintings. My favorite artist is Frederic Remington and I was able to see his bronze work and paintings, a truly talented American artist. The upstairs exhibit focused on tribes of Indiana as well as the rest of the nation's.The staff was very friendly, and able to answer any questions I had. The gift shop had a vast assortment of things to choose from, ranging from $-$$$. The restroom was very clean. I would recommend this museum to anyone. A++
