Eclipse Chocolate Bar & Bistro

I had the quiche, and... It was just this amazing combination of flavors. Not really filling, but mind blowing. Actually, of all the things I had that night, the very nice cup of drinking chocolate I had was the *least* impressive thing I had.

Imaginative food, and tons of delicious chocolate. If you love chocolate, you'll love this place. If your don't love chocolate, you'll probably enjoy the food anyway because it's so good. Great for brunch and breakfast, I haven't been for lunch or dinner.

I've always liked Eclipse but now, I love them! They pivoted their whole business and are offering a mini market in their restaurant with fresh produce, milk, eggs, etc. As a South Park resident, Eclipse has been a godsend. Now I can support a local SP business and get needed necessities during this quarantine.

Used a Groupon deal to try this place out as we are never in this area. The dinner was so much food (2 mains, 2 sides, 2 desserts, 2 drinks-alcohol included)! Everything was delicious, service was great. We were so stuffed that we could only eat one of the desserts and they allowed us to take the other one to go. Our reservation was for 7pm, we had some trouble finding street parking, there is no lot. The restaurant is casual and was empty when we arrived but after about an hour, it picked up and had a steady stream of people. Would definitely recommend and will try the brunch sometime!

If you like - hot chocolate or drinking chocolate then this shop offer you different taste. I ordered rose petals cardamom white drinking chocolate and it was such a delight ful experience. Small note - you may find this at sweeter end. Beautiful shop, you will feel welcome and try some really different flavor s in drinking chocolate.

I can't rave about this place enough! I've visited multiple times now and each trip has been nothing short of wonderful. The food is inventive and so incredible. It's like an adventure for your tastebuds. The chocolates are delectable and something I cherish. They have a passion for food that really shows through in every dish. But if the food isn't enough to get you in, the warm and friendly staff should be. They are welcoming and hardworking and REAL. They take care of you like a doting grandma but converse like a friend. This is my favorite place in all of San Diego and if you don't visit for dinner, brunch, or one of their creative social nights, you've missed out on one of the best things about this town.

If you love chocolate you must check out this place!! Several vegan chocolate options but not a lot of vegan food options. I haven't tried the food yet so I can't comment on that but their chocolate bars are amazing and drinkable chocolate is delicious, thick and decadent!

A great place to eat great chocolate dishes, every dish sweet or savory has some form of chocolate.

Amazing place. Love the servers and the food! Always a good experience whenever I come here! Sometimes it's tricky to find parking in the area.

Delicious food and coffee. Great/friendly atmosphere. Learned a lot about the cacao plant as we binged on chocolate that Willy Wonka would kill for. 👍

Eclipse Chocolate is one of those places you take out of town guests for a treat or to treat yourself to a great meal. Start with the drinking chocolate- you can get it in any strength from milk chocolate to 85% with great different flavors and alternative milk if you prefer. I go for the 85% and am never disappointed.They serve wonderful breakfast food, including an eggs Benedict that you can get on polenta instead of muffins, and amazing pancakes, again, gluten free if that is what you need (I do). Their desserts are epic- I go for a gluten free brownie sundae, and they have great drinks, including San Diego's own boozy kombucha. The food is always great quality, whatever you order, the chocolates are divine, and the servers are nice folks.

Great place. Very laid back feel with attentive and friendly staff. The food was very unique with the supper club event. Overall we really enjoyed and look forward to returning.

This place is magical and warm. It is consistently excellent. Easily one of my favorite places for breakfast in San Diego. I find myself craving their hollandaise sauce. It's fantastic and I highly recommend anything off their menu. I do recommend making a reservation as well it's not a very big place. They also have specials throughout the week such as happy hour with a $5 beer or wine with a $1 chocolate pairing.

Amazing food and drinking chocolate. Must see for any foody visiting San Diego! The service is a little understaffed but they make up for it with pleasant service.
