This is by far MY FAVORITE Asian restaurant in NYC. The service is so friendly, our server remembered us after just seeing us one time. This hidden gem is a MUST. All of the food is delicious and I 100% recommend them.

This restaurant is underrated at 5*. My wife and I have 30 years of eating Chinese in Asia between us, and we both thought the shao lin bao was one the best ever. Fried dumplings were also very good. The dipping vinegar was the real deal. Main course was noodle soup. The broth was clear and delicious with great noodles. Definitely coming back.

This is a hidden find in UES. We decided to dine in on a Sunday and there were no other patrons in the venue. The service and food quality did not disappoint!! 1. Pork soup dumplings - love the presentation and how each comes in a serving bowl so it captures all the soup! 2. Chive and pork pan fried dumplings - good but nothing to write home about 3. Crispy scallion pancake with shredded duck - the outter cake was a warm crispy perfection. They were generous with the duck portions too! I’ve never had this kind of dish before! 4. Beef and asparagus lunch special which comes with a house salad and soda for only $13! The staff was courteous and friendly. We didn’t have to wait very long for the food. Everything tasted really good! It is the restaurant’s 2 year anniversary so there’s a 10% discount through 10/31/22!!

Very impressed with our meal at East River Eatery. We ordered duck scallion pancake, soup dumplings, and pan fried pork & chive dumplings. Everything exceeded expectations and very friendly service. Will be back!

Very authentic and tasty! I had an udon noodle soup, my wife had fried egg noodles, and we shared some dumplings and egg rolls. All were the tastiest we’ve had on the upper east side and very reasonably priced!

As a Chinese, I’m very picky with a dim sum restaurant but this restaurant exceeds my expectations. IT IS DEF A HIDDEN GEM. This is absolutely the best dim sum restaurant I’ve had in New York. Not only did they make the food so good, they also presented it so well. I was impressed every time I went there. Even the service is 10/10. I’ve always hoped that they have more customers but unfortunately UES did not give it enough credit. I’m very sad to find out place is now closed when I went back today. Hereby I submit all my memory with this amazing restaurant. I hope they just found another better location to thrive not permanently closed.
