Early Bird Donuts

The donuts are good and the breakfast sandwiches are even better! Hopefully you’ll go on on a day they have kolaches. SO GOOD!

Early Bird's yeast donuts are soft and pillowy, but have enough resistance to be satisfying. They're also delightfully large -- check out the dozen in my photo! They also have a surprising number of fillings available -- try the cherry filling. They do sell out of donuts as the morning progresses, though. The holy grail when they're in season is a donut that's filled with whipped cream cheese frosting and strawberries.Why you should listen to me:I am a donut fiend. I've had donuts from every single shop in the Triangle, from Carolina Glazed, Monuts, Rise, Krispy Kreme, Duck, Dunkin', you name it. I eat donuts in other big cities when I travel, too. Early Bird is my favorite. I am so happy they're here in Durham!

best service ever mixed with awesome donuts and a great experience. I'm glad that I found this place. I'm super happy about it and I'm definitely going to come back and eat some more. Plus they feel the Boston creams on the spot.
