Dylan's Oyster Cellar

Honestly, I'm from southern Louisiana and I liked their oysters, so that's impressive to me. Also,the people are good. The drinks at the bar are usually super clever, creative, any pretty good.For those that aren't interested in oysters, there's other things on the menu that are standard American fare. I'm time their burgers are pretty good.

Dylans is one our favorite date nights! My husband and I usually start with at least one round of oysters, which are always perfectly shucked. There’s an amazing selection to pick from, ranging from mild to the cleansing brine. We’ve tried and absolutely loved their fried fish sandwich, coddies, Caesar salad, and potato skins, just to name a few dishes. The service has always been impeccable, and personal without being overbearing. We can’t wait to be able to dine in again and begin bringing our daughter so she can enjoy this experience as well.

Chill atmosphere. Phenomenal product. Pleasant owner and staff.

It will probably be loud and busy while you are here but that just adds to the great food and drinks you will be getting.Wait staff is friendly and food is delicious!

Located in the trendy Hamden neighborhood surrounded by converted row houses now turned into small shop, boutiques, and restaurants. Walked in on a Thursday evening and the small place was bustling. There are tables, counter top seating, and also booths. We we're fortunate to snag a booth for a bit more privacy.Service was great, our server was very knowledgeable about the oysters, as well as the wine list, and the evenings specials. The menu is not huge so everything is done well!I'm not a huge oyster lover but our party opted for a flight of assorted oysters. They were gone in a matter of minutes! Our party had the fresh whole bronzini which was a special, butterflied rainbow trout in butter, fried oyster sandwich, and the green Chile cheeseburger. All plates are ala carte so we ordered potatoes skins which were great and the beets. Sides are large enough as share ables for 4 people.Opens at 5 pm. No lunch.

Go for the happy hour oysters 100%, 1.50 per oyster from 4-7! The cheeseburger was also worth the trip to the Avenue area. Cocktails were great, and with happy hour prices super affordable. Service was so-so, but they were busy so it happens.

Their small, focused menu sets the tone for your dining experience. Here you can find the freshest oysters in the half shell in the area, with the cleanest shuck. So good, in fact, it's ruined my local oyster happy hour spot in Montgomery County! If Dylan behind the bar shucking, you're truly in for a treat. Visit on Sundays for shuckers choice $1 oysters! Lovely service: attentive but not overbearing.

Oysters were delicious. Drink selection was good. Staff was friendly. I'll definitely visit again.

Good service, quality food

Atmosphere seemed nice but my draft beer was undrinkable

The food was delicious, but we had to wait a literal hour before we got our food. Got there at 7, and let's say to be generous, didn't order actual food until 7:20. First plate didn't arrive until 8:20. And they brought the dishes out piecemeal. So my dining companions had to wait about five minutes with their food before mine came out. I don't know what was going on, but no one ever came to apologize or to check in.

Excellent raw oysters with incredible selection of daily specials! Go if you are a seafood fan! The salads and sides are very nice. We did not have any of the other meat dishes. Service is amazing as well, not obtrusive and well timed. Drinks include local beers on draft and specialty cocktails that definitely complement the menu.

Delicious food and drink with a great atmosphere. The front of the restaurant has a great view of the Hampden avenue.
