Dulcinea Bar and Grill

Moved to DC from California, and this place finally satisfied my craving for great Mexican food. If anybody ever asks me, I recommend this place for authentic Mexican. Only knock I used to have was the salsa not being spicy enough, but they switched it up and now it's perfect! Never too crowded, nice friendly service, and a great range of choices.

This place is extremely prejudice towards black students especially if you can not speak Spanish. I have been in this establishment 5 times this year and every single time I come in I’m either looked over and have to make my need for service known or being looked at like a wild dog with nothing but attitude... OR all of the above. I don’t see myself going there ever again and it’s sad because there aren’t right across the street from a HBCU and the food is actually decent.

Very good Mexican food everytime and the portions are hefty. Awesome customer service! Our gentleman even made my toddler a non-alcoholic version of my margarita because he kept asking for my "red juice". Love it here!

Over the past several years I've visited and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere on my lunchtime on hectic days and the food has ALWAYS been delicious!

Great spot. I was here 2 years ago and again today. Quality is still authentic and delicious. Very fair prices. Service and atmosphere are fantastic.

I went to check this place out after reviewing the menu. After walking in and not being greeted until after I sat myself down and the only employee there just watching me do so. After i got comfortable, the gentleman finally handed me a menu and said ill be with you in a minute. There was a table top of four there only and he only continued to help them. I reviewed the menu again and was going to get the chorizo torta, the taco platter, french fries and horchata. I waited at least 10 minutes and got up and left. I don’t recommend unless you want to wait 5-10 to ask for your drink at least.

This is the spot I was looking for in DC to get good Mexican food! Small spot with good atmosphere and music. The food is great. I had the veggie chimichangas that comes with a side of rice and beans. The salsa and chips are fantastic. Nice selection of Mexican beers. Loved it, coming back with friends to share this little gem.

Stopped in for an order of chicken enchiladas and ended up leaving with 3 they were so good.

Wow, i was tasked with finding decent Mexican food in the area and didn't have high hopes. Stumbled across this place and was pleasantly surprised by the high ratings. Walking up to it we kept second guessing ourselves as it isn't in the best part of town and almost looks like a townhouse. We ordered, i had a chimichanga and she had a burrito, and the portions were huge! Taking a bite of my food i was stunned, it was amazing. Easily among the best Mexican food in DC. I highly recommend this place, the service is great and they're very friendly. Well priced too especially for the portions.

Rice bowl was delicious. Tacos were okay. Margaritas were pretty tasty. I did not like the fact that the restaurant closed 3mins than what was posted online which limited our stay.

Enjoyed the chimichanga. Unique with green peppers.

Just happened to walk to be walking by this place and walked out with some of the best tacos I've ever had. Would strongly recommend.

Best Mexican food in DC! Consistently good, service is always great and everything is made fresh. ♥️
